ADVERTISEMENT Department of Archaeology University of Calcutta Walk-in interview for Research Fellow
Interested eligible candidates are requested to appear before a selection committee on 16th February 2018 at 11.30 am at the Department of Archaeology, Alipur campus, 1 Reformatory Street, 7th Floor, Kolkata-700027 for the post of one Research Fellow for the UGC sponsored project under UPE-II scheme entitled Tracking Ancient Migration Routes and Cultural Connections in North Eastern India: A Multidisciplinary Approach through Archaeology, Genetics and Palaeobotany under Dr. Bishnupriya Basak (Principal Investigator, Archaeology) and Prof. Madhusudan Das, Dean Science, Department of Zoology (joint investigator) and Dr. Sanghamitra Sengupta, Department of Biochemistry (joint investigator), University of Calcutta. Candidates are requested to carry five sets of their CV along with original and self-attested copies of testimonials at the time of the interview. The CV must include the candidates full contact details including email id and phone number.
Required qualifications: MA degree in Archaeology or Ancient Indian History with at least 55% marks.
Those having training in field survey and explorations with hands-on experience in archaeological objects along with an ability of recording and writing reports will be given preference.
Remuneration: Rs. 14000/- p.m.
