Applications are invited for one position of Project Fellow in the project entitled MAKING SENSE OF DIABETES: BIO-SOCIO-CULTURAL DIMENSIONS AND ITS MANAGEMENT IN CHANDIGARH funded under the UGC Major Research Project, New Delhi for three years.

Application form may be submitted on a plain paper/ downloaded from the Panjab University website and submitted along with detailed bio-data and attested copies of certificates and work experience to the undersigned. The applicants should also submit a soft copy of the application form at ksinha_anil@yahoo.com. The last date of receipt of complete application is on or before 28 February 2017. The date of interview shall be conveyed via mail to the eligible candidates. The interview will be held in the office of the Chairperson, Department of Anthropology, Panjab University, Chandigarh. No T.A. & D.A. are permissible for appearing in the interview.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

1. M. Sc. (Anthropology)/ Allied or related subjects with 55% marks for General candidates. (50% in case of SC/ST/PH candidates.)

2. The age of the candidate should be below 40 years.

3. Desirable: Knowledge of field work and candidate should be willing to conduct independent field work/data collection in Chandigarh.

FELLOWSHIP:

i) NET/GATE Qualified- Rs. 16,000/- p.m. for initial 2 years and Rs. 18,000/- p.m. for the third year.

ii) Non-GATE/Non-NET- Rs. 14,000/- p.m. for initial 2 years and Rs. 16000/- p.m. for the third year.
