ABOUT US

National Institute of Technology, Kurukshetra, one of the 31 NITs in the country, is a premier centre of learning and research in various disciplines of engineering and management. It trains and develops high caliber professionals to serve not only the country but also the world at large. The Institute has made rapid strides in expanding and upgrading facilities, enhancing the quality of education and strengthening the linkage with industry. The Institute's alumni are well placed in reputed organizations in India and abroad.

The Department of Business Administration, NIT Kurukshetra has been actively pursuing management education, research, and manpower training programs for producing globally competent management professionals since its establishment in the year 2006. Through its two-year MBA program, the department has been conducting focused activities to enhance the essential skill-set amongst the students for equipping them with optimal compatibility and competency anticipated by employers in the corporate world. In a short span of its existence, the Department has achieved the recognition of being a leading centre of management education in the region. Presently, the Department offers three major specializations namely-Human Resource, Marketing, and Finance. Recently the Department has initiated the process of introducing Operation Management and International Business Management into its curriculum. Some of the leading companies that visited our campus are Axis Bank, Mahindra Finance, Excel Dynamics, Naukri.com, Coal India and Casio etc.

NUMBER OF SEATS

The sanctioned intake of this programme is 90. Seats are available in two categories i.e. Regular Seats & Self-Financed Seats.

Regular Category: 60 Seats

Self-Financed: 30 Seats

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Admission criteria for both categories (Regular and Self-Financed Seats) will be same.

The eligibility criteria are as under:

Candidate must hold a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent qualification of any of the Universities incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislatures in India or other educational institutes established by an Act of parliament or declared to be Deemed as a University under section 3 of UGC Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India / AIU. This degree must entail a minimum of three years of education after completing higher secondary schooling (class 12 or equivalent} 10+2+3 system with a minimum requirement of 50% (45% for SC/ST applicants).

Minimum 40 Percentile score in CAT/MAT/CMAT/GMAT conducted in the year of 2017-18

ADMISSION PROCESS

Applicants satisfying minimum eligibility criteria will be called for Group Discussion and Personal Interview. Based on the performance in Group Discussion and Personal Interview and CAT/MAT/CMAT/GMAT score, a merit list will be prepared and displayed on the Institute website.

NOTE: The candidates appearing in Graduation (Final Semester.year) Examination may also apply for the above programme. However, they have to produce their marks/grades sheet showing minimum pass marks or CGPA (as the case may be) in aggregate latest by 15th September 2018 failing which their admission will stand cancelled. Such students, at the time of admission, must produce a certificate, in the prescribed format [Given on NIT-KKR Website), signed by the Principal or Registrar of the College last attended, stating that all examinations including practical examinations necessary for award of the degree, have been completed in order to be eligible for admission.
