NOTICE

A Walk- in - Interview will be held in the office of the Director. School of Oceanographic Studies, Jadavpur University. Kolkata 700032. on 2nd June , Friday at 12 pm for the following positions to carry out research work in the DST, (Gol's Knowledge Network programme on Climate Change & Coastal Vulnerability on
VULNERABILITY ASSESSMENT OF MANGROVES AND CORALS OF WEST BENGAL, ODISHA ANDANDAMAN ISLANDS" under the supervision of Pro f. Sugata Hazra , Principal Investigator, School of Ocenaogrpahic Studies, Jadavpur University in Collaboration with S.Dam Roy of CARI.Andaman and Dr.Ajit.K..Pattanayak, former PCCCF Odisha of as per details below:

• Number of Posts: Junior Research Fellow (JRF): 2(Two)

  Qualification for JRF: M.Sc. in any branch of Science /Geography with at least 55% Marks. UGC/CSIR NET is preferred

  If NET qualified candidates are not found or not found suitable, non -NET candidates may be selected having adequate field and research experience .

  Desirable qualification: Degree/PG Diploma in Remote Sensing (RS) & Geographical Information System (GIS).Experience of field surveys in any of the field sites

  Candidates might be posted in any of the field sites for long/short duration

  Age Limit: 28 years for JRF

  Fellowship:

  JRF: Rs: 25,000 p.m. (1st and 2nd year) and 28,000 p.m. (3rd year) + 30% HRA (NET Candidates) Rs . 12000 p.m ( un revised ) + 30 % HRA (Non Net candidate )

  (The selected JRF would be able to pursue his/her Ph.D. degree under J.U.)

  (Relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST/Women candidates/ Candidates with research experience in desired field)
