Course Objectives

Today, Due to the IoT revolution the industries are looking for innovative solutions from the academia to help them meet their market needs of higher productivity and lower costs, yet at increased efficiencies. Bridging this industry-academia gap is need of the hour whereby an insight by academic institution is required to ensure that promising research takes place which can be easily translated into useful products and an industry representative can discuss some of their hurdles.

The course aims to galvanize the urgent needs of both Industry and Academia towards fostering IoT-revolution. Course will cover the key constituents of IoT i.e. the IoT device, Sensors (with wireless modules), Gateways to connect to external world, the scripting language Python for IoT modeling and critical challenges of security associated with IoT networking. Hence the participant will learn the IoT device modeling and programming associated with embedded device. This Bootcamp will help participants to identify R&D framework and current open challenges in the IoT Industries. Additionally, this course will be a major step towards realizing a mechanism for institutionalizing industry-academia collaborations.

Security challenges in IoT deployment.

An Insight to Advanced Sensors, Arduino, RPi, etc

Future scopes in IoT networking and applications

Project proposal writing (R& D Projects)

IoTs IPR perspective.

Faculty members / research scholars / PG/ UG students from academic institutes approved by the AICTE /UGC /MHRD and Scientists / Engineers working in private / Public/ Govt. organisations / industries etc. can attend the course. Application should be made on the registration form and should accompany registration fee as below:

Accommodation for participants can be arranged in hostel/guest house on nominal payment basis subject to the availability. No TA/ DA will be paid to the participants. Participants will be selected on firstcome-first served basis. The registration form, complete in all respects, duly forwarded by the Head of the Department/School/Institute, accompanied by Demand Draft/Online details of requisite amount should reach on or before Feb.15, 2018. Registration fee is to be paid in advance through a bank demand draft in favour of Director, NIT Kurukshetra payable at SBI, NIT Kurukshetra or online through SBI Collect.
