ABOUT THE INSTITUTE
National Institute of Technology Nagaland, a premier institute of higher learning, is one of the thirty-one institutes established by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India. The basic aim of the Institute is to provide quality technical education, conduct original research of high standards and provide leadership in technological innovations for industrial growth and primarily for enhancing the scope of technical education in the state of Nagaland. The Institute offers under graduate and post graduate programmes in various branches of engineering: Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering and Electronics and Instrumentation. ABOUT THE WORKSHOP
Internet of Things (IoT) is a new revolution of things with the Internet. It is a network of physical devices, vehicles, home appliances, and other items embedded with electronics, software, sensors, actuators and network connectivity which are linked to create smart environments. It allows objects to be sensed and controlled remotely across existing network infrastructure. Also, it is creating opportunities for more direct integration of the physical world into computer-based systems, which results in improved efficiency and accuracy.
The workshop will give the platform to understand and to use IoT in real-time applications.
OBJECTIVES:
- Understand the rudiments of IoT.
- Configure Wi-Fi, Ethernet for IoT applications.
- Control various applications through Webpage.
- Interface different sensors with Wi-Fi, Zigbee & Bluetooth devices.
- Interface industrial IoT Gateway with PLC, DCS.
