Research Associate/ Part time Assistant for ICSSR Funded Research Project

Applications are invited for the position of Research Associate/ part time research assistance at the Centre for African Studies, University of Mumbai

Project title:

India-Africa Engagements in Agriculture: Building Capacity, Adding Value

The project seeks to explore co-operation between India and select African countries in agriculture and agro-processing sectors for food security and poverty reduction.

Research Fellowship details:

Research Associate: One (full-time position) (Rs 16,000 /- per month, consolidated)

Research Assistant: One (part-time) (Payment on a per diem basis)

Project Duration:

14 months, beginning July 1^st, 2017. The appointment shall be on a six month renewable basis.

Essential Qualification:

Masters degree or equivalent in African Studies or allied social science disciplines with minimum 55% marks.

Desirable Qualifications:

NET /SET qualified will be preferred.

Knowledge of computers and good writing skills are mandatory.
