Institute of Public Health, Kalyani has been set up under the ageis of Society for Health and Demographic Surveillance which is funded by the Health & Family Welfare Department, Government of West Bengal. The key focal areas of the institute are public health education, research and policy formulation.

2. A Research Project titled "Nutrition of Pregnant Women" will be undertaken by the Institute of Public Health, Kalyani in Purulia district. This project will continue for around six months. Applications are invited for engagement of one Project Officer for this project in Purulia. The Project Officer will play key role for field level works under the guidance of Principal Investigator of the said project. S/he will also take part in local level administrative work related to the project. The eligibility criteria are:

a.

Age must be less than 40 years as on 01.01.2018

b.

A graduate degree in medical science (MBBS/BDS/BHMS/BAMS) followed by MPH (passed/appeared in final examination) or

c.

A post-graduate in science/social science followed by MPH (passed/ appeared in final examination)

d.

Working knowledge of statistical software like Stratal SPSS is desirable

e.

Own a two wheeler with valid driving license.

f.

Remuneration and Contact

(i)

A consolidated sum of Rs 50,000/-(Rupees Fifty Thousand) per month for MBBS or Rs 40,000/-(Rupees Forty Thousand) per month for others.

(ii)

Travel allowance: Rs 3,000/-(Rupees Three Thousand) per month

(ii)

Duration of contact is Six months.

3. Interested individual may appear in a walk-in-interview to be held at IPH, Kalyani on 24-032018 (Saturday) at 11:30 am with all testimonials and identity proof (original and one set of self-attested photocopy) with application in plane paper addressed to the Director, Institute of Public Health Kalyani.
