Terms of Engagement:-The appointment of professionals will be purely on contract basis for aperiod of (1) One Year, which may be extended annually maximum till project period after t eannual review of performance, output and desired impacts for SMMU under AMRUT. However, t
econtract may be terminated in the case of unsatisfactory service.
- The successful candidate will have to sign a contractual agreement in the prescribed format.
- The contract shall not confer any rights or claim of extension/absorption in the department. Thecandidate will have to produce an affidavit in this case.
- Candidate should be below 50 years of age as on the last date fixed for submission of the application.
5. Last date for receipt of Application: 16/05/2017 till 5:00 PM.
6. The selection of the candidate will be completely on the basis of Essential Qualification, Additionalqualification, Experience and Interview.
7. How to apply: Duly filled application form as enclosed in Appendix B along with self attested copyof the proof of age, qualification and experience should be sent through the registered post/speed 4th
post/courier to the State Urban Development Agency, Room No. 404, Floor, Urban Development and Housing Department, Project Bhawan, Dhurwa, Ranchi-834004. Theapplication form made available by hand shall not be entertained. Original Qualification Certificateand Proof of previous employment have to be produced during the time of interview.
Incomplete applications shall not be considered and no interim correspondence shall be
entertained. Canvassing in any form shall be considered a disqualification for employment in the
Department.
8. The list of shortlisted candidate will be uploaded on the website www.jharkhand.gov.in and thecandidate will be intimidated about the date of interview.

Appendix-A
Name of the Post : Capacity Building-cum-Institutional Strengthening Expert
Qualification : Essential Master Degree in Sociology/PGDRD/MBA from recognized
institutions with at least 60% marks or equivalent grade point average.
Additional Masters in Public Administration
Work Experience : At least 5 years work experience in Social Development/Project Management.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Provide technical and handholding support to cities for the preparation of CB plan, its
implementation and monitoring.
Advise ULB on matters relating to CB activities and their effective implementation
Lead capacity Need Assessment at ULB and support ULB to prepare capacity building plan
Design and Develop Capacity Building activities for the ULBs in consultations with other
specialists
Implement and monitor the capacity building programmes
Coordinate with the training institutions to implement training programmes
Technical Support in preparation of SAAP related to Capacity Building activities, every year of
the mission period.
Preparation of financial plan related to fund released from AMRUT for the development of
town under AMRUT Mission for the respective ULBs.
Any other activities related to AMRUT, as decided by the State Steering Committee and the PrincipalSecretary, Urban Development & Housing Department.
