Applications with full bio-data from Indian citizens are invited for the following post at Dr B Borooah Cancer Institute, Guwahati-781016.

1. Assistant Professor (Nuclear Medicine) (regular full time post) .. 1 (one)

   Or,

2. Medical Officer (Nuclear Medicine) (regular full time post) .. 1 (one)

   (in case no suitable candidate is found for the post of Asst. Professor)

   Or,

3. Retainer Consultant (Nuclear Medicine) (contractual full time post).. 1 (one)

(in case no suitable candidate is found for the post of Asst. Professor / Medical Officer)

Eligibility:

1. For the post of Assistant Professor (Nuclear Medicine) : as per MCI norms.

2. For the post of Medical Officer (Nuclear Medicine), MBBS with Diploma in Radiation Medicine (DRM) or PG Degree in relevant field from Recognized University / Board / Institution.

3. For the post of Retainer Consultant (Nuclear Medicine), candidate must be a senior faculty with MD or PG Diploma in Nuclear Medicine from a recognized University / Board / Institution.

Note : Candidates appearing in the final examination may also apply.

The candidate for the above posts must be registered with the Medical Council of Indian States / Union Territories.

Preference will be given to the candidate having working experience in the respective fields in recognized institutions.

Residential single / family accommodation available inside hospital premises. Private practice outside hospital working hours is permissible as per existing rules.

Age limit:

The upper age limit will be finalized by the Appointing Authority based on the recommendation of the Selection Committee.

Pay scale:

1. For the post of Assistant Professor: AICTE pay scale Rs.15600-39100 + Rs.7000/-(AGP) per month + NPA + applicable allowances (pre-revised). Revised pay scale will be announced shortly.

2. For the post of Medical Officer: Rs.12000 - 40000 (PB-4) + Rs. 6400/- (GP) per month

+ applicable allowances (pre-revised). Present pay scale (revised) : 30000-110000 (PB)

+ 15100 (GP) per month + applicable allowances.

(b) For the post of Retainer Consultant: Pay & allowances on negotiable terms.

Department of Nuclear Medicine & Molecular Imaging of Dr B Borooah Cancer Institute at present has one Dual Head Spect Gamma Camera Machine (2015). Low dose radio-isotope therapies are also done in the Department. RSD, AERB has already given permission to start high dose radio- isotope therapy with 3-beds. The construction of the said building is already completed in April 2017 and the facility will be started shortly. Similar, the construction for PET-CT building has been completed in April 2017.

The date and time of interview will be intimated to the eligible candidate in due course of time. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
