The Govt. of Uttarakhand has established VCSG Uttarakhand University of Horticulture and Forestry (VCSG UUHF) by an Act of State Legislative Assembly [The Uttarakhand Krishi Evam Prodhyogik Vishwavidhyalaya (Amendment) Act, 2001 {Uttarakhand Act No. 13 of 2011}] dated 28th April, 2011 with Notification No. 732/XIII-II/2011-12 dated 26 September, 2011.

The University invites applications for filling-up the following Government approved vacant posts on deputation basis, initially for a period of one year which may be extended on year to year basis up to a maximum period of three years or till filling-up of the posts through direct recruitment, whichever is earlier. The Application Form can be downloaded from the University website (www.uuhf.ac.in). Application form duly filled in can be sent by post to the Office of Registrar, College of Forestry, VCSG Uttarakhand University of Horticulture & Forestry, Ranichauri, Tehri Garhwal 249 199, Uttarakhand. Duly filled in application form should reach through proper channel to the above mentioned office latest by 25th .03.2018.

1. Name of the Post: Dean, College of Forestry (01 Post)

Pay Band: Rs. 37400-67000 (AGP: Rs. 10000/- p.m.)

Essential qualifications:

a. Doctorate Degree in the subject concerned.

b. 15 years of teaching (UG/PG)/research/extension experience in a substantial capacity out of which at least 3 years should be in the rank of a Professor or equivalent in a reputed educational institution / organization.

c. Evidence of contribution to Teaching/ Research as supported by published work/innovations. Experience in Planning/ Execution / Coordination of Teaching/ Research activities of the College.

Desirable qualifications:

a. Eminent standing in the discipline of Forestry/ Allied Sciences.

b. Teaching/ Research work experience.

c. Administrative experience.

2. Name of the Post: Dean, College of Horticulture (01 Post)

Pay Band: Rs. 37400-67000 (AGP: Rs. 10000/- p.m.)

Essential qualifications:

a. Doctorate Degree in the subject concerned.

3. Name of the Post: Additional Director Research (01 Post)

Pay Band: Rs. 37400-67000 (AGP: Rs. 10000/- p.m.)

Essential qualifications:

a) The incumbent should have Doctorate degree in Horticulture/ Forestry/ Agriculture with consistently good academic record.

b) The incumbent should have 15 years of teaching (at UG/ PG level)/ research experience in a substantial capacity and should be working as a Professor or equivalent in the AGP of Rs. 10000/- in Central/ State Govt. University / Educational / Research Institution.

c) Evidence of contribution to Research/ Teaching as supported by published work/ innovations. Experience in Planning/ Execution/ Coordination of Research Programme/ Activities in Forestry/ Horticulture/ Agriculture disciplines.

Desirable:

a) Research experience in temperate Horticulture/ Agriculture/ Forestry.

b) Experience of handling externally funded research projects as P.I.

Job Profile:

The incumbent on the post shall be responsible for coordinating research activities of the University including externally funded research projects. The incumbent shall be required to plan, organize and monitor the research programmes of the University. The incumbent shall also be responsible for coordinating with funding organizations.

4. Name of the Post: Joint Director Extension (01 Post)

Pay Band: Rs. 37400-67000 (AGP: Rs. 10000/- p.m.)

Essential qualifications:

a) The incumbent should have Doctorate degree in Horticulture/ Forestry/ Agriculture with consistently good academic record.

b) The incumbent should have 15 years of teaching (at UG/ PG level)/ research experience in a substantial capacity and should be working as a Professor or equivalent in the AGP of Rs. 10000/- in Central/ State Govt. University / Educational / Research Institution.

c) Evidence of contribution to Agriculture Extension Work as supported by published work/ innovations. Experience in Planning/ Execution/ Coordination of Extension Education Programmes pertaining to Forestry/ Horticulture/ Agriculture disciplines.

Desirable qualifications:

a) Extension work experience in temperate Horticulture/ Agriculture/ Forestry.

b) Experience of handling externally funded extension projects including KVKs.

Job Profile:

The incumbent on the post shall be responsible for coordinating extension activities of the University including externally funded extension projects and KVKs. The incumbent shall be required to plan, organize, monitor extension programmes of the University. The incumbent shall also be expected to coordinate with State functionaries.

Eligibility:

1. Officers/Faculty working in regular service in UGC recognized Universities / Research Institutions / Statutory and Autonomous organizations and the Department of Central / State Govt. / Union Territories / Public Sector undertakings shall be eligible to apply for the above mentioned post.

2. The maximum age limit should not exceed 57 years to the candidates where superannuation age is 60 years and 62 years to those candidates where superannuation age is 65 years as on closing date of receipt of applications.

The applicants who had applied earlier for the above mentioned posts in response to Vacancy Circular Nos.: UUHF/ Deputation Year 2017/03 Date: 15.09.2017 and Vacancy Circular No.: UUHF/ Deputation Year 2017/04 Date: 04.10.2017 need not apply again. However, they are free to add to their resume or applications any new and relevant information in the light of terms and conditions specified herein above.

Note:

(1) The incumbent selected for the above mentioned post shall be required to join his/ her duties as early as possible.

(2) The Screening Committee will screen the applications, and will recommend the candidature for appointment on deputation basis. However, if required, the candidates may be called for Personal Discussion.

(3) No. T.A. & D.A. shall be admissible in case the candidate is called for Personal Interview / Discussion.

(4) The University reserves the right to fill or not to fill the posts mentioned above.

(5) If at any time even after the selection and the appointment of the candidate on deputation or during the tenure of his/ her service, it is found/ detected that any document/ information submitted by the candidate is incorrect or that the candidate has concealed/ suppressed any information, then appropriate action shall be taken against him/ her as per rules which may even lead to cancellation of his/ her deputation.

(6) If the incumbent would like to go back to his parent department before the completion of deputation period or if the parent department would like to call him/ her back to the parent department before the completion of deputation period, then the incumbent/ parent department shall be required to give at least one months notice to the University in this regard. Likewise, if the performance of the incumbent is not found satisfactory then the University will have the right to send the incumbent back to his/ her parent department after giving him one months notice.

(7) The other terms & conditions of the deputation with regard to deputation allowance etc. shall be governed by the State Government Rules.

(8) The area of jurisdiction for any legal dispute shall be District Court at Pauri Garhwal and Uttarakhand High Court at Nainital.
