Applications are invited from the desirous candidates having requisite qualifications and experience along with supporting documents as required under Rule-6 of the Family Courts (Orissa.),1990 and Family Courts (Orissa) amendment Rules, 1994 for appointment to the vacant post of Counsellor, the appointment of which shall be made by the Honourable High Court of Orissa, Cuttack.

1. ELIGIBILITY AND QUALIFICATIONS OF COUNSELLOR.

   
   

   The intending candidate should:-

   
   

   1. Be a citizen of India.

      
      

   2. Have passed Master's Degree in (Social Science preferably in Sociology or Psychology)

   3. Have minimum experience of 3 years in family counselling .

      
      

   4. Be able to speak read and write Odia and have passed test in Odia equivalentto the M.E. Standard.

      
      

   5. Be of sound health, good physique and free from organic defects or bodily infirmity and

      
      

   6. Have not more than one spouse living.

   
   

   Provided that where such persons are not available, persons above the age of thirty five working in the field of social service and welfare activities and engaged in promoting the welfare of Family and Child Care with a degree in (Social Science preferably in Sociology or Psychology) shall be eligible for such appointment.

   
   

2. FUNCTIONS OF A COUNSELLOR

   The functions of Counsellor shall be regulated in accordance with the terms and conditions laid down in me Family Courts (Orissa) Rules, 1990 and amendment made there under from time to time.

   
   

3. FEE OF A COUNSELLOR

   
   As per Rule-33 of the Family Courts (Orissa) Rules, 1990, the Counsellor shall be entitled to assisting fee of Rs. 525/- (Five hundred twenty five) only per day of actual work.

   
   

   
   

4. DOCUMENTS REQUIRED

1. Self attested Xerox copies of all Educational Qualification certificates.

   
   

2. Experience certificate in the field of family counselling or social service and welfare activities and engagement in promoting the welfare of Family and Child Care as the case may be.

   
   

3. Self attested two number of Pass Port size photographs.

   
   

   The applicants are required to submit the applications with the documents on or before 03.06.2017 addressed to the undersigned (Judge, Family Court, Baripada)
