Application are invited from eligible candidates for the positions of a Senior Consultant and a Consultant purely on adhoc basis for Discipline of Geology, School of Sciences, IGNOU, Maidan Garhi, New Delhi 110068.

The term of engagement is initially for a period of six months, which may be extended on the basis of satisfactory performance and as per requirement of the School. University can discontinue / terminate / curtail the services of the Senior Consultant and Consultant by giving a notice period of 1 (one) month. The educational qualification, experience and eligibility conditions and remuneration for the posts are given below:-

The maximum age limit is 69 years.
Consultant	Rs. 40,000/- toRs. 60,000/- (Consolidated permonth)As per recommendationof Selection Committee	Qualification : Masters degree in Geology / AppliedGeology / Earth Science / Marine Geology / Hyderologywith a minimum of 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/OBCwithout creamy layer / differently abled) and NETqualified / Ph.D. in respective fields. Experience: Minimum 5-7 years of experience inteaching geology at Undergraduate / Postgraduate level.

Nature of Work:-

The nature of work would primarily involve activities pertaining to development of academic courses / programmes in Geology Discipline, as per suggestion of discipline group.
