College of Agriculture, Vellayani for filling up of 6 posts of Assistant Professors (Contract) for the B.Sc. M.Sc. (Integrated) Biotechnology Course conducted in this College and one post of Assistant Professor (Contract) each in the Department of Plant Biotechnology and Department of Physical Education temporary basis. The details are given below:

Those who are interested may submit their application in the attached format available in the website www.kau.in before 15.03.2018 to the E-mail id-coavellayani@kau.in and appear for a walk-ininterview with originals and self-attested copies of certificates of proof of Educational Qualifications, Experience, Date of Birth & Age, Caste & Religion, etc at 09.00 AM on 19.03.2018 at the PG Council Room of College of Agriculture, Vellayani, Thiruvananthapuram.

There is no need to send the hard copy of the application or any other document.

Terms and Conditions:

Period of appointment: The appointment is purely on temporary and contract basis. The period of appointment is for a period of 1 year or till the appointment of regular hand against the post or the abolition of the post to which the candidate is appointed, whichever is earlier. There is no provision for re-employment after the termination of appointment. *Age: Maximum age should not be above 40 years as on 01.01.2018. Age relaxation as per existing Government rules will be granted to eligible candidates.

In the absence of NET qualified candidates, those who having Post Graduate Degree in concerned subject will also be considered.

Remuneration: The remuneration will be consolidated pay of Rs. 35,000/-per month.

*

If the number of candidates of walk-in-interview for a particular discipline exceeds 25 numbers, a written test will be conducted for the discipline concerned, before the commencement of the interview.

*

No TA/DA will be paid for attending the walk-in-Interview.

*

An agreement in the prescribed form will be executed by the candidate in Stamp Paper worth Rs. 200/-, if selected for appointment.

*

The candidates will have no claim in the University other than to receive the pay attached to the post.

*

The appointment will not confer on him/her any right of permanency or regularisation in KAU.

*

The candidate, if selected will discharge all such duties that are attached to the post as per KAU Act/Statutes/Regulation & Rules and that may be assigned to him/her from time to time by the Head of Departments.

*

The University has the right to terminate the service of temporary appointment if the performance is found unsatisfactory or any such defects noticed.
