Essential Qualification

MBBS with Post Graduate Degree (MD/DNB) in Social and Preventive Medicine/ Field epidemiology / Masters in Applied epidemiology/ India EIS training certification and one year experience after Post Graduate Degree

Or

MD with MPH/ 2 years of India EIS training with minimum 3 years public health experience

Or

MBBS with MPH/ 2 years of India EIS training with minimum 5 years public health experience

(All MBBS, MD, DNB. MAE degrees should be recognized by MCI)

Desired Qualification

  • Post Graduate Degree in Medical Microbiology
  • Prior experience with antimicrobial resistance and infection prevention and control.
  • Expert level knowledge in data analysis platforms SPSS, STATA SAS, Epi Info etc
  • Knowledge of computer applications or Business Intelligence tools like Microsoft excel, PPT etc
  • Experience of working in Health sector, ICMR, AIIMS, NHM, CTD, NACO, etc. or in the Scientific Departments/Organisations with experience in project management
  • Working experience in Government sector/PSU or any reputed organization in management of public health program

Up to 40 Years

Nature of Duties

Prospective candidate is a self-starter, with strong commitment and ability to work and good communication skills to work well under pressure and balance competing priorities in a demanding work environment.

  1. a. To provide support for planning, managing and implementation of epidemiological components of the HAI surveillance project at JPNA trauma centre, AIIMS, New Delhi
  2. b. Monitor recording and reporting of HAI surveillance in the network hospitals
  3. c. Perform analysis of data generated from the surveillance network and effectively communicate to the PI and the stakeholders on time
  4. d. Prepare study protocols/SOPs/teaching and training materials regarding antimicrobial resistance, surveillance of health care associated infections and infection prevention and control
  5. e. Supervise data collection, transport, testing, reporting, QA/QC of bacterial and fungal pathogens
  6. f. Prepare monthly/quarterly and periodic technical reports on status of the programme implementation
  7. g. Facilitate conducting meetings/workshops/training programs related to HAI surveillance
  8. h. Monitor recording and reporting of data regarding the HAI surveillance
  9. i. Liaise, coordinate and facilitate inter-disciplinary clinical and laboratory facilities from various health care settings across the country under AMR capacity building project
  10. j. Any other assignments by Director AIIMS or project PI of HAI Surveillance network at AIIMS trauma Centre or ICMR

1 year (Renewable for the project duration subject to performance and project requirement)

  1. 1. Personal Interview for the participants from Delhi / Skype interview for the outstation participants selected applications will be held for the Post.

  2. 2. Age relaxation is admissible in respect of SC/ST/OBC candidates as per Government of India Rules, in respect of the posts reserved for those categories.

  3. 3. Age concession to the extent of service rendered in other research projects in ICMR will also be admissible for experience and skilled persons.

  4. 10. Experience certificate should clearly state the nature of work during the period of employment.

  5. 11. Community/ Caste certificate: Candidates applying under OBC category, shall submit attested copy of OBC Non Creamy Layer Certificate in specified format, issued within one year from the closing date of application by the appropriate authority. Only Non Creamy Layer OBC certificates will be accepted and other certificates will not be accepted.

  6. 12. No- Objection Certificate from the current employer (for Govt./AB/PSU Servants only).

  7. 13. All posts are Contractual for the duration offered. The appointment may be renewed after every specific period of time subject to satisfactory performance and project requirement.

  8. 14. The incumbents selected will have no claim for regular appointments under AIIMS/ICMR or continuation of his/her services in any other project.

  9. 15. TA/DA will not be paid by AIIMS/ ICMR for attending the interview.

  10. 16. The institute reserves the right to fill up or not to fill the advertised posts.

The Director AIIMS /Selection Committee has the right to accept / reject any application without assigning any reason thereof and no recommendation in this matter will be entertained.
