1. In case of non-availability of suitable candidates with the knowledge of Konkani for the posts in professional colleges, Consultants in Directorate of Health Services and highly technical/scientific posts, the Goa Public Service Commission may recommend a candidate if otherwise found fit and this requirement can be relaxed by the Government, on the recommendation of the Goa Public Service Commission, if the Government is of the opinion that it is necessary or expedient so to do.

2. Prescribed EQs are minimum & mere possession of same does not entitle the candidates to be called for interview. Where number of applications received is large, the Commission will short list the candidates to be called for interview as mentioned in the Instructions.

   1. GOA MEDICAL COLLEGE

      Assistant Professor in Neurology 1 post (3rdtime)

      Scale of Pay: Rs. 15,600-39,100+6,600/-.

      Age: Not exceeding 45 years.

      Educational & Other Qualifications:-

      Essential: (i) A recognised medical qualification included in the First or the Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than Licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (Act No. 102 of 1956). Holders of qualifications included in Part II of the Third Schedule should also fulfil the conditions stipulated in sub-section (3) of section 13 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (Act No. 102 of 1956). (ii) Post graduate degree or equivalent in the concerned super-speciality or equivalent. (iii) At least one year teaching and/or research experience in a recognized Medical College/Teaching Institution in the subject of super-speciality after obtaining the qualifying degree of Doctorate of Medicine (D.M.)/Master of Chirurgiae (M.Ch). (iv) Knowledge of Konkani.

      Desirable: Knowledge of Marathi

      Note: For candidate with Doctorate of Medicine (D.M.)/Master of Chirurgiae (M.Ch.) degree of three years duration, no experience is required.

   2. GOA DENTAL COLLEGE AND HOSPITAL

      Lecturer in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopaedics 1post (resvd for ST) (3rd time)

      Scale of Pay: Rs.15,600-39,100+5,400/-.

      Age: Not exceeding 45 years.

      Educational & Other Qualifications:-

      Essential: (i) A qualification included in Part I or Part II of the Schedule to the Dentists Act, 1948 (16 of 1948). (ii) Post-Graduate qualification in Dentistry i.e. Master of Dental Surgery in concerned speciality/subject from a recognized institution or equivalent. (iii) Should be registered with Dental Council. (iv) Knowledge of Konkani.

      Desirable: (i) One year teaching experience after post graduation in a recognized Institute. (ii) Three years experience as Registrar/Tutor/Senior Resident/Demonstrator in the concerned speciality of Dentistry in a recognized Dental College/Medical College with Dental Wing/Dental Institution. (iii) Knowledge of Marathi.

   3. DIRECTORATE OF HEALTH SERVICES

      Junior Consultants:Paediatrician 1 post (resvd for ST) (3rdtime)

      Pathologist 1 post (resvd for OBC) (3rdtime)

      Surgeon 2 posts (1 resvd for OBC) (3rdtime)

      Scale of Pay: Rs. 15,600-39,100+5,400/-.

      Age: Not exceeding 45 years.

      Educational & Other Qualifications:-

      Essential: (i) A recognised Medical qualification included in the First or Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than Licentiate qualification) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956). Holders of educational qualifications included in Part II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions stipulated in sub-section (3) of section 13 of the said Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. (ii) Post- graduate degree, failing which post-graduate diploma, in the speciality concerned. (iii) In case of Diploma holders, Work in responsible position connected with the speciality concerned for 2 years after post-graduation Diploma. (iv) Knowledge of Konkani.

      Desirable: Knowledge of Marathi.

      Junior ENT Surgeon 1 post (resvd for OBC) (3rdtime)

      Scale of Pay: Rs. 15,600-39,100+5,400/-.

      Age: Not exceeding 45 years.

      Educational & Other Qualifications:-Essential (i) A recognised Medical qualification included in the First or Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than Licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Holders of educational qualifications included in Part II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions stipulated in sub-section (3) of section 13 of the IMC Act, 1956. (ii) Post-graduate degree/diploma qualifications in the speciality concerned. (iii) Knowledge of Konkani.

      Desirable: Knowledge of Marathi.

      4.DIRECTORATE OF HIGHER EDUCATION

      Assistant Professors:English in Government College 1 post (resvd for ST) (2ndtime)

      Tabla in Goa College of Music 1 post (2ndtime)

      Scale of Pay: Rs. 15,600-39,100+6,000/-.

      Age: Not exceeding 45 years.

      Educational & Other Qualifications:-

      Essential: (i) Good Academic record with at least 55% of marks or equivalent grade at Masters Degree level in the relevant subject from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from a foreign University. (ii) National Eligibility Test (NET)/State Level Eligibility Test (SET) shall remain the compulsory requirement for appointment as Assistant Professor: Provided, however, that candidates who are or have been awarded Ph. D. Degree in compliance of the University Grants Commission (minimum standards and procedure for award of Ph. D. Degree), Regulation 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in Colleges. (iii) Knowledge of Konkani.

      Desirable: (i) Ph. D. or M. Phil. in the relevant subject. (ii) Knowledge of Marathi.

      5.TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING DEPARTMENT

      Dy. Town Planner 1 post (resvd for ST) (2ndtime)

      Scale of Pay: Rs. 15,600-39,100+5,400/-.

      Age: Not exceeding 45 years.

      Educational & Other Qualifications:-

      Essential: (i) Degree in Regional/Town Planning from a recognised University/Institution or equivalent. (ii) 2 years experience in a Planning or architectural office. (iii) Knowledge of Konkani.

      Desirable: (i) Associateship of the Institute of Town Planners (India) or equivalent membership of a professional Institution. (ii) Experience in the preparation of development plans (iii) Knowledge of Marathi.

      Note 1: Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the G.P.S.C. in case of candidates otherwise well qualified.

      Note 2: The qualification(s) regarding experience is/are relaxable at the discretion of the G.P.S.C. in the case of candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes if, at any stage of selection, the G.P.S.C. is of the opinion that sufficient number of candidates from these communities possessing the requisite experience are not likely to be available to fill up the vacancies reserved for them.

      6.GOA POLICE DEPARTMENT

      Scientific Assistant in Forensic Science Laboratory (Toxicology, Chemistry and Narcotics) 2 posts (1 resvd for ST & 1 resvd for CFF) (2ndtime)

      Scale of Pay: Rs. 9,300-34,800+4,200/-.

      Age: Not exceeding 45 years.

      Educational & Other Qualifications:-

      Essential: (i) Masters Degree in Science, with at least second class from a recognised University with specialization in the discipline of Chemistry/Forensic Science and (ii) Knowledge of Konkani.

      Desirable: (i) Should be Computer literate. (ii) Knowledge of Marathi.

      7.DIRECTORATE OF OFFICIAL LANGUAGE

      Senior Translator (Marathi) ...3 posts [1 resvd for PH (Orthopaedically Handicapped)] (2nd time)

      Scale of Pay: Rs. 9,300-34,800+4,200/-.

      Age: Not exceeding 45 years

      Educational & Other Qualifications:-

      Essential: (i) Post Graduate Degree in Marathi from a recognised University or equivalent. (ii) At least five years experience in translation fromMarathi to English and vice versa. (iii) Knowledge of Konkani.

      8.DIRECTORATE OF TRIBAL WELFARE

      Assistant Director 1 post

      Scale of Pay: Rs. 9,300-34,800+4,600/-.

      Age: Not exceeding 45 years.

      Educational & Other Qualifications:-

      Essential: (i) Masters Degree in Social Service or Social Welfare or Social Work or Sociology or Psychology from a recognised University or equivalent. (ii) Five years experience of Social Work in any Social Welfare Organisation recognised by the Government. (iii) Knowledge of Konkani.

      Desirable: Knowledge of Marathi

      9.DIRECTORATE OF ARCHIVES AND ARCHAEOLOGY

      Assistant Archivist Grade I 1 post

      Scale of Pay: Rs. 9,300-34,800+4,200/-.

      Age: Not exceeding 45 years.

      Educational & Other Qualifications:-

      Essential: (i) At least 2nd Class Masters degree in Indian History of a recognised University or equivalent. (ii) Some experience of research in Modern Indian History/teaching of Modern Indian History in a University or College/work in an Archival Office. (iii) Degree in Portuguese or Curso Complementar of Arts/Science from Lyceum. (iv) Knowledge of Konkani.

      Desirable: (i) Knowledge of Archival Science. (ii) Knowledge of Marathi.

      Note: Candidates who do not possess E.Q (iii) will also be considered, but, if selected, they will be required to pass a special Departmental Examination in the Portuguese Language before confirmation.
