Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Pune is a premier autonomous Institution established by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, for promotion of high quality science education and research in the country.

Institute invites applications for the positions of Assistant Professor (Grade-I) under various disciplines from reserved category candidates possessing excellent academic record and relevant work experience having Indian Nationality.

Post	Assistant Professor (Grade-I)
Scale of Pay	Pay Level-12 (Entry pay Rs. 1,01,500/-). Total monthly emoluments Rs. 1,25,600/-. Allowances (HRA, TA) are calculated as per the 6th pay, revision of which as per the 7th pay commission recommendation is yet to be announced.
Qualification &	Ph.D. in Biology / Chemistry / Earth and Climate Science / Mathematics
Experience	/ Physics with first class or equivalent at the preceding degree and at least 3 years industrial / research / teaching experience, excluding the experience gained while pursuing Ph.D.
Discipline wise	1] Biology : SC (1) & OBC (1)

GENERAL INFORMATION / DETAILS ABOUT POSTS

1) Posts carry allowances like House Rent, Transport and Childrens Education as admissible to Central Government employees posted in Pune.

2) Faculty is eligible for medical facility as per the Institute norms & LTC facility as per the Government of India Norms

3) Posts are covered under New Pension Scheme of Govt. of India.

4) The qualifications prescribed should have been obtained from recognized Universities / Institution.

5) Applications from the candidates working in Government Departments / Government Funded Institutes / Government Funded Research Agencies / Universities must be sent through proper channel and with a clear certificate that the applicant will be relieved within one month of receipt of appointment order, if selected. However, an online application to be submitted before the last date as an advance copy.

6) The prescribed Essential Qualifications / Experience indicated are bare minimum and mere possession of same will not entitle candidates to be called for the selection process. Where number of applications received in response to an advertisement is large, it may not be convenient or possible for the Institute to call all eligible candidates for selection process. The Institute may restrict the number of candidates to be called for selection process to a reasonable limit, on the basis of qualifications and experience higher than that of the minimum prescribed in the advertisement. The candidates should, therefore, furnish full details of qualifications and experience possessed in the relevant fields, over and above the minimum prescribed. Documentary evidences will be verified during the selection process.

7) Relaxation in experience may be considered in case of exceptionally meritorious candidates, with prior approval of the Competent Authority.

8) No interim enquiries / correspondence / communication of any sort will be entertained on the matter.

9) Canvassing in any form and / or bringing any influence, political, or otherwise, will be treated as a disqualification for the post applied for.

10) Application incomplete in any respect will be summarily rejected.

11) Candidates selected for appointment will have to produce Caste certificate / Caste Validity Certificate / Non Creamy Layer certificate (in case of OBC candidates) as applicable during the selection process OR after joining the Institute within the stipulated period stated in the offer letter.

Reservation for Other Backward Class is admissible only to candidates having Non Creamy Layer status.

12) Number of positions indicated may increase depending upon requirements.

13) Waitlist kept for the respective position shall be kept valid for a period of one year from the date of selection. In case candidates do not join or leave after joining the post, waitlisted candidates may be offered the position.
