Applications are invited from Indian nationals for the position of Project Fellow in a DSTfunded research project with following details.

Title of the Project: Emerging phases due to spin-orbit coupling in 5d oxides: a firstprinciples simulation approach.

Name and number of the position: Project Fellow [One (1)]

Essential qualifications: First class M.Sc in Physics/ M.Tech in Materials Science or equivalent degree from any recognized University or Institutes. Final year/semester students can also apply subject to satisfying the above criteria at the time of joining.

Desirable qualifications: In addition, the candidate qualified in CSIR/UGC NET, GATE, JEST or equivalent all India based exam with specialization in Condensed Matter Physics/ Solid State Physics/ Material Science and knowledge in C/ Fortran programming and Linux environment will get preference.

Fellowship: Rs. 20,000/-(consolidated).

Duration: Initially for 8 months. (The tenure may be extended upto another 3 years based on the performance).

Note: The candidate selected for the position of project fellow will have the option to register for Ph.D program at IIEST-Shibpur, provided, the candidate must meet certain eligibility requirements and qualify the screening test.
