One Postdoctoral Position in Aspects of the hot QCD medium in the presence of Strong EMelds under Prof. Vinod Chandra

Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar (IITGN) invites applications for a postdoctoral position from motivated individuals interested in Aspects of the hot QCD medium in the presence of Strong EM elds. The applications are sought under the Post- Doctoral Fellowships Program of IITGNfunded by the DST/SERB funded projects of Prof. Chandra. Eligibility and Expectations:

The Postdoctoral Fellow is expected to work on understanding the properties of the quark-gluonplasma under strong magnetic eld in RHIC with prime focus on the computation of the transportcoefcients of the QGP/hot QCD matter. The major focus would be on developing the theoreticalunderstanding and nally relating it to the experimental observables for the QGP in the heavy-ion collision experiments. Candidates with expertise and/or interest in high temperature QCD, Relativistickinetic theory and relativistic dissipative hydrodynamics for hot QCD, Physics of Quark-Gluon-Plasma and Relativistic heavy- ion collisions are encouraged to apply. The candidates must have Ph.D. degree in Physics with thesis work related to the Physics of Quark-gluon-Plasma, Physics of Heavyion collisions or the applications of hot QCD to the understanding of the QGP.
