Advertisement for research position: JRF/SRF/RA

Applications are invited from eligible candidates to work as a Junior Research Fellow (JRF)/Senior Research Fellow (SRF)/Research Associate (RA) for a period of three years (initially for one year) under the CSIR sponsored project entitled Analytical and computational studies of some queueing models with Markovian arrival process and/or Markovian service process with sanction order no. 25(0271)/17/EMR-II dated 27/04/2017. Eligible candidates can attend the Walk in Interview on 12/03/2018 at 10:30 AM in the Department of Mathematics, National Institute of Technology, Raipur, along with the duly completed application form on the prescribed format with copies of supporting documents and necessary original certificates. Number of Position : 1 (One) Project Duration 3 Years Essential Qualification : For JRF: M.Sc. in Mathematic or equivalent degree

with minimum of 60% marks from recognized University/ Institute and a valid NET/GATE score. For SRF: M.Sc. in Mathematic or equivalent degree with minimum of 60% marks from recognized University/ Institute and a valid NET/GATE score and at least 2 years of post M.Sc. research/teaching experience as evidence from published papers in standard refereed journals. For RA: Ph.D. in Queueing Theory/Inventory System or equivalent from recognized University/Institute.

Tenure of Fellowship : Appointment of research position will be made on contract basis for a period of one year initially, which may be extended depending on the performance evaluation on yearly basis till end of the

Maximum Age Limit project. For JRF: Maximum 28 years. For SRF: Maximum 32 years. For RA: Maximum 35 years.

Fellowship : For JRF: Rs. 12,000/-per month plus HRA/MA For SRF: Rs. 14,000/-per month plus HRA/MA For RA: Rs. 36,000/-per month plus HRA/MA

Terms and Conditions:

  1. The above position is purely temporary and continuation of the fellowship is subject to satisfactory performance and review after each year.

  2. Candidates are required to appear for the interview with curriculum vitae, all relevant original certificates with a set of attested photocopies and four attested passport size photographs.

  3. No TA/DA is permissible for appearing the interview.

  4. Selected candidates will not be permitted to claim for any regular/part time appointments in this institute or any other institutes during this period.

  5. Canvassing in any form will disqualify the candidature.

  6. The appointment shall be co-terminus with the project.
