2. Eligibility Conditions:

   1. The candidate should be a citizen of India.

   2. Age Limit: On the last date of form submission (i.e. 23th May, 2017) -

      Not less than 18 years and not more than 38 Years for Unreserved (UR)

      Not less than 18 years and not more than 41 Years for OBC(M) / OBC(MP)

      Not less than 18 years and not more than 43 Years for ST/SC

      
      

   3. Educational Qualification:

      Stenographer Grade - I

      1. The candidate must be a Graduate from a recognized University.

      2. The candidate must have completed Diploma in Stenography in English with Minimum speed of 120 words per minute in short hand and typing speed of 50 words per minute on computer.

         
         

         Stenographer Grade - II

         1. The candidate must be a Graduate from a recognized University.

         2. The candidate must have completed Diploma in Stenography in English with Minimum speed of 100 words per minute in short hand and typing speed of 40 words per minute.on computer.

3. Nature of Examination:

   1. Preliminary Examination:

      1. Written examination to test English for 50 marks with 1:30 hours duration consisting of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).

      2. Computer Typing Test: Minimum Speed of 50 wpm on computer for the post of

         Stenographer Grade-I and 40 wpm for the post of Stenographer Grade-II.

      3. Stenography Test: Minimum 60 wpm in short hand for Stenographer Grade - I/PS Minimum 50 wpm in short hand for Stenographer Grade - II

         
         

   2. Mains:

      Candidates selected from the Preliminary Examination will undergo Stenography Skill Tests for 75 marks.

      
      

   3. Oral Interview:

   Oral Interview for 25 Marks will be conducted for the candidates who got through the Main Examination.

   
   

4. Mode of Submitting Applications:

   1. Download the Application Form from the website of the High Court of Manipur ( www.hcmimphal.nic.in).

   2. Duly filled in Application Form along with the cha/fan (in a sealed envelope superscribed as "STENOGRAPHER I/PS Examination,2017 or STENOGRAPHER -II Examination, 2017" (whichever applicable) may only be submitted in person or by post on or before 23th May, 2017.

      1. In person - to be submitted in person to the Receipt and Dispatch Section, High Court of Manipur.

      2. By post- To be sent at the address below

   Note: No documents Except the Chai/an are to be enclosed. Documents are to be produced only at the time of the interview.

5. Last Date of Form Submission: 23th May, 2017.

6. Candidates applying for both the posts must apply separately in 2 (two) Application Forms

7. Fees:

   Stenographer Grade - I/PS (Use Challan in Annexure 'A')	1. Rs. 1000/- for UR/OBC(M)/OBC(MP) candidates. 2. Rs. 800/- for ST/SC candidates.
   Stenographer Grade -II (Use Challan in Annexure 'B')	Rs. 900/- for UR/OBC(M)/OBC(MP) candidates. Rs. 700/- for ST/SC candidates

8. Mode of Payment:

   To be deposited only in the form of challan (annexed as Annexure 'A' for Stenographer Grade-I and as Annexure '8' for Stenographer Grade-II alongwith the Application form)

   with S81 Branches through core banking network all over India on or before 23th May, 2017.

   Original copy of challan must be attached alongwith the application form.

   
   

9. Applicants in Govt. service other than casual or muster roll will be required to state in the application form that they have informed in writing their employer/controilnl g authority that they are applying for the examination. In case the employer or the controlling authority withholds permission to the candidate for appearing in the examination, such applications will be rejected.

   
   

10. The Admit Card will be available in the High Court of Manipur website and the date for downloading the same will be notified later.

    
    

11. The decision of the High Court of Manipur as to the eligibility or otherwise of a candidate for admission to the Examination shall be final. If on verification at any time before or after the Written Examination and Interview, it is found that a candidate does not fulfil! any of the eligibility conditions, his/her candidature for the Examination will be cancelled by the High Court of Manipur.

    
    

12. Mobile Phones Banned:

1. All types of electronic gadgets including mobile phones, pagers etc. are not allowed inside the premises where the examination is being conducted. Any infringement of these instructions shall entail disciplinary action including ban from future examinations.

2. Candidates are advised in their own interest not to bring any of the banned items including mobile phones/pagers etc. to the venue of examination as arrangement for safe-keeping of thesame cannot be assured. The High Court of Manipur will not be responsible for any loss in this regard.
