Recruitment of Sr. Specialist (Lean Management) on contractual basis

Applications are invited for the Sr. Specialist (Lean Management) on contractual basis in Lean Operations Cell, Centre of Excellence, Sustainable Development, Indian Institute of Management Kashipur, Uttarakhand, under sponsored project on Implementation of LMCS in MSME Cluster based at Rudrapur, Uttarakhand. The date and venue of the interview will be communicated to the shortlisted candidates. The interview will be conducted either personally or over the Skype. The details of the eligibility and job profiles are given below:

Eligibility:

Graduate Engineer with experience specifically in the area of quality, lean and implementation of business excellence models

Should have at least 20 years of experience in training and executing Kaizen Events and hands on experience in training and implementing following Lean Tools: 5s and Visual Management, , Poka Yoke, SMED, TPM, Cellular Layout

Should have knowledge or experience in working in similar type of schemes e.g. Lean Manufacturing Competitive Scheme of Govt. of India

Retired senior executives from Auto Sector having experience in Lean, Kaizen will be also be eligible to apply

Job Description:

To implement the Lean as per the Diagnostic Study Report at each member units this includes interventions like training and change management initiatives of the units.

To implement various tools as part of the Lean initiatives like 5s and Visual Management, Total Productive Maintenance, Cell Layout, SMED and Poka Yoke

Prepare the Milestone Based Report as prescribed by National Monitoring and Implementing Unit (NMIU)after completion of the each phase of the study.

To assist the team form NMIU, Ministry of MSME, who are expected to audit each of the units after completion of the phases as per the project guideline and work and clear the non-conformities found (if any).

To carry out customised training programmes, periodic audits of implementation and monitoring the progress of Lean implementation at each member unit.

To respond to specific queries raised by Nodal Officer of the cluster, OEMs, NMIU and Lean Operations Cell of IIM Kashipur.

To assist in carrying out research preparing the success stories (in form of the case studies) of Lean Implementation for the Centre of Excellence, Sustainable Development of IIM Kashipur

Terms and condition: The remuneration per month is around Rs.50, 000- 70,000/- consolidated and no other benefits will be provided. This is a contractual appointment and for a period of 3-6 months only, which may be extendable subject to satisfactory performance/ need of the project.
