Government of India Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change
Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change (MoEF&CC) invites applications from eligible persons for engagement as Consultants on contract basis, under the Green Skill Development Programme (GSDP) of the Ministry. Details of the posts and terms and conditions as well period for engagement, eligibility, experience, etc. are as under:
I. Name of Post: Consultant-Para taxonomist and other related courses
1 | Number of Post: 1 (One) |
2 | Method of Recruitment: Contract based through open market |
3. | Age limit: The maximum age limit for the Consultant should be 40 years as on 01.01.2018 |
4. | Period of Contract: Initially for a period of One year from the date of engagement which may be extended as per functional needs. |
5. | Remuneration (Per month): An initial consolidated amount of Rs. 40,000 per month, inclusive of Transport Allowance and all taxes for applicants having less than 5 years of experience. An initial consolidated amount of Rs. 50,000 per month, inclusive of Transport Allowance and all taxes for applicants having more than 5 years of experience. An initial consolidated amount of Rs. 60,000 per month, inclusive of Transport Allowance and all taxes for applicants having a PhD degree with more than 5 years of experience along with experience in GIS tools and data mapping. There shall be an annual increase of 5% in the remuneration subject to satisfactory performance. |
6. | Educational Qualification: Essential Professionals having Masters degree in Biology/Zoology/Botany. Desirable PhD in,Biology/Zoology/Botany. |
7. | Experience: A minimum post-qualification experience of 5 years in requisite field (which could be relaxed to 3 years in exceptional cases). Knowledge and experience of computer (esp. MS Office) is essential. |
8. | Job description: Monitor and coordinate with Botanical Survey of India (BSI), Zoological Survey of India (ZSI) and Salim Ali Centre for Ornithology and Natural History (SACON) for the training programme on Biodiversity Conservationists and Para taxonomists and facilitate the extension of the programme in the next session to pan India. Identify and coordinate with industry players for ensuring employability of the skilled trainees of the programme. Monitor activities in all districts for each programme-prepare status reports; act as a liaison between Ministry and the training organization to address any queries/ issues/ problems etc. Prepare and analyse performance reports, success/failure and overall appraisal of |
the programme in terms of employment opportunities and skills acquired by trainees. Undertake extensions of Green Skill Development Programme (GSDP) on Parataxonomists by coordinating with agencies like Wildlife Crime Control Bureau (WCCB)/State Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (PCCFs) etc. to ensure tailoring of the programme on the basis of need/employability in such organizations. Examine and modify the course module as and when required. Coordinate and work on other courses related to biodiversity scheduled to be started later. |

From Sub-committees for each skill programme, and hold meetings to discuss need of the training programme, and aligning the programme module with employability, as is required by M/o Skill Development and Entrepreneurship. Monitor activities in all districts for each programme-prepare status reports; act as a liaison between Ministry and the Training organization to address any queries/ issues/ problems etc. |
