Advertisement for the post of Project JRF under SERB-EEQ at Institute of Nano Science and Technology

Applications are invited from highly motivated and bright candidates for engagement of Project JRF in the research project funded by SERB-EEQ scheme, Government of India at Institute of Nano Science and Technology, Mohali.

Title of the Research Project: "Computational study of spin polarization in ternary chalcogenide"

Principal Investigator: Dr. Chandan Bera, scientist C

Name of the position available: Junior Research Fellow (Project)

Number of positions available: One

Qualifications:

Essential: M. Sc. /M. Tech. degree in physics/Material science/nanoscience and nanotechnology with NET/GATE qualification.

Desirable: Knowledge of computer programing, research experience in theoretical physics is preferred.

Age limit: Must not be over 28 years as on 10.04.2017 (relaxable as per the norms/orders of Government of India).

Salary: Rs. 25000/- +HRA

Project duration: Initially 1 year and likely to be extended at mutual agreement for 4years.

General Terms and Conditions:

The position is temporary and renewable each year subject to satisfactory performance for a maximum of four years. The position is co-terminus with the project. Candidate selected for this position can also apply for the regular PhD program of INST provided they satisfy eligibility criteria.

No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
