A walk-in interview will be held on 28^th November 2016 at 12:00 noon at the Departmental meeting room in the Department of Information Technology, Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology, Shibpur, Howrah, for the selection of two (02) temporary posts, RA (01) and SRF (01) for DST-water technology Initiative (WTI) sponsored Project. Interested candidates are requested to be present with 2 hard copies bio-data and others academic testimonials (mark-sheets and certificates (photocopy and original)). The candidate should report their presence half an hour before the interview time. Details of the position are as follows:

(i) Research Associate (RA): No of post One

Essential Qualification: M.Tech (IT /CSE /EC/Equivalent) or equivalent from a recognized University securing minimum 80% or equivalent grade and with Ph.D. in the relevant subject.

Desirable Qualification: Research Experience in wireless sensor networks/Energy Conversion/ fault tolerance and minimum 2 SCI index papers published after PhD in reputed Journals.

(ii) Senior Research Fellow (SRF): No of post One

Senior Research Fellow (SRF): First class M.E / M.Tech in Information Technology/ Computer Science and Engineering / Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering / OR Equivalent.

Desirable Qualification: Preference will be given to the candidates having knowledge in wireless sensor networks, web designing.

Preference will be given to the candidate who would like to enroll for full time PhD.

Age limit: For RA 35 years, and for SRF 28 years. The upper age limit is relax able up to 5 years in the case of candidates belonging to Schedule Castes/Schedule Tribes/OBC, Physically Handicapped/Visually Handicapped and female applicants.

Fellowship*: 1. RA: Rs. 36,650/-p.m.

2. SRF: Rs.25, 500/-p.m.

*Note: House Rent Allowance (30%) and Medical Allowance (300/-) will be provided as admissible and released by DST.

Duration: 36 Months.

Venue of the interview: Meeting room, Department of Information Technology, IIEST, Shibpur.
