Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati (IIT Guwahati) invites online applications from eligible Indian Nationals for appointment to the following posts. Candidates are requested to apply online only. No other means/modes of application will be accepted.

1. Students Counsellor - 04 Posts ( 1 UR; 1 SC; 1 ST; 1 OBC)

Pay Band : PB3; `15600 39100/-, Grade Pay : `5400/-

Minimum Qualification : Post Graduate qualifications in an appropriate discipline from accredited and recognized Institutions with specializations in areas of Counselling, Psychotherapy and / or Clinical Psychology.

Desirable : At least 3 years experience as practicing professionals or as in-house counsellors. Experience of similar work in higher educational institutions will be given weightage.

Below 50 years

2. Medical Officer - 03 Posts ( 2 UR; 1 OBC )

Pay Band : PB3; `15600 39100/-, Grade Pay : `5400/-

Minimum Qualification : MBBS degree from a recognized University, with three years experience in a reputed Hospital after completion of compulsory rotatory internship.

Preference will be given to the candidates having post-graduate degree or diploma in clinical subjects.

Age: Below 35 years.

Upper age limit and experience may be relaxed for candidates with higher qualification.

3. Assistant Executive Engineer (Civil) - 02 Posts ( UR )

Pay Band : PB3; `15600 39100/-, Grade Pay : `5400/-

Minimum Qualification:

(1) Bachelors or Equivalent Degree in Engineering from a recognized University/ Institute.

(2) Having minimum 6 years of working experience. Should have experience in estimating, tendering supervising, billing, etc. in Civil Engineering (applicable as per requirement of the Institute) in large multistoried buildings, roads, in autonomous body and in Central, State, PSUs, other similar organizations in their respective field.

Desirable : At least 2 years of experience as Senior Assistant Engineer or in equivalent post in Grade Pay of `4800/- or above in Civil works out of total 6 years of working experience.

Age : Below 35 years.

Candidates will have to make the payment of application fees through the online mode as under: `500 (for General/ OBC candidates) and `250 (for SC/ST/PwD candidates).

Internal candidates of IIT Guwahati are requested to apply for NO Objection Certificate & reimbursement of application fee to the Registrar, IIT Guwahati through the concerned HOD/ HOS / HOC of the Institute.

Relaxation of age for SC/ST/OBC/PwD/Ex-Serviceman will be as per GOI rules. For internal candidates, minimum requirements pertaining to age may not be insisted upon.

Persons employed in Govt./Semi Govt. Organisations /Autonomous Bodies must submit NOC from their employer at the time of written test/ skill test/ interview, whichever is earlier.

Institute reserves the right to hold a written test and/or skill test, if necessary to shortlist the candidates and only shortlisted candidates will be invited for interview.

Degrees as referred above are those which have been awarded by a recognized University / Institution.

8.

Mere fulfillment of the minimum qualification will not vest any right on a candidate for being called for a written test/skill test / interview.

9.

The Institute also reserves the right of rejecting any or all the applications without assigning any reasons thereof. Decision of the Institute will be final and binding in this regard.

Any dispute with regard to the selection/recruitment process will be subject to Courts/Tribunals having jurisdiction over Guwahati.

Last date for receipt of Application : The online application, complete in all respects, can be submitted up to 23.12.2016 till 5.00 p.m. No physical copy of application / document is required to be sent .

13.

Canvassing in any form/bringing in any influence political or otherwise will be treated as a disqualification for the post. INTERIM ENQUIRY WILL NOT BE ENTERTAINED.
