Applications in prescribed forms are invited from Indian Nationals for a temporary post of Placement Executive with the following details :

Pay : Consolidated salary between `40,000 - `45,000/- per month based on qualification and experience.

Age Limit : Up to 45 years on the last date of receipt of Application Form.

Essential Qualifications: An MBA or PG Diploma in Human Resources from a recognized Institution/University preferably with an engineering back ground.

Experience : Significant and proven experience in one or more of the following :

Campus Placements in a reputed institution, Corporate Relations, Public Relations, Career/Manpower Development, Training and knowledge of MS Word, Excel Sheets and other usual software used in Offices.

Desirable: Excellent communication skills, excellent inter-personal skills and an ability to get along with people at all levels, including faculty, visiting executives and students, knowledge of data base management. Candidates who are self-driven and who takes considerable initiative on his/her own will be preferred.

Posting and Nature of Job:

The posting will be in the Centre for Career Development (CCD), IIT Guwahati

The post is purely temporary

The Placement Executive (PE), CCD will be responsible for interacting with prospective employers of students of the Institute and arranging the smooth conduct of campus placements and placements for internship of student of the Institute, under the guidance of Head CCD.

The PE, CCD will be responsible for maintenance in a proper manner, updated information about companies, details careers in different companies, a reference library consisting books and magazines which will help the students know about various career options. He/she will also arrange occasional talks by experts on career related subjects under the guidance of Head, CCD and industrial visits of students as needed.

Mere fulfillment of the minimum qualification will not vest any right on a candidate for being called for interview.

Candidates will not have any claim for a regular appointment in the Institute on the strength of this temporary appointment.
