Applications are invited from the eligible local candidates for filling up of 06 (six) posts of Assistant Professor in the PB-3 of Rs 15600-39100 plus Grade Pay of Rs 6000/-for theSikkim Institute of Higher Nyingma Studies (SHEDA) under Human Resource Development Department, Government of Sikkim through Direct Recruitment. All applications are invited through online mode (www.spscskm.gov.in)

However, during the period of Probation/Apprenticeship/Training, pay shall be governed by Notification No: 489/GEN/DOP dated: 31.10.2011.

1. CONDITIONS OF ELIGIBILITY :

2. ASSISTANT PROFESSOR BUDDHIST ASTROLOGY IN 01 Masters Degree in Tibetan Astrology with minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed from a recognized University, 5% relaxation will be provided to SC/ST/Differently-abled (physically & visually).with 55% of marks, relaxable by 5% for SC/ST/Differently-abled (physically & visually).
3. ASSISTANT PROFESSOR NYINGMA PHILOSOPHY IN 02 Masters Degree in Nyingma Philosophy withminimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed from a recognized University, 5% relaxation will be provided to SC/ST/Differently-abled (physically & visually).
4. ASSISTANT PROFESSOR BUDDHIST HISTORY IN 01 Masters Degree in Buddhist History with minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed from a recognized University, 5% relaxation will be provided to SC/ST/Differently-abled (physically & visually).
5. ASSISTANT PROFESSOR BUDDHIST PHILOSOPHY IN 01 Masters Degree in Buddhist Philosophy withminimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed from a recognized University, 5% relaxation will be provided to SC/ST/Differently-abled (physically & visually).
2. Age : Should have attained the age of 21 & should not have exceeded 40 years as on 28/02/2018 in terms of Notification No: M(3)/(55)/GEN/DOP/Pt-III DT: 03/07/2017.
3. Duties of the Post : To teach specific subject in the College level.

4. Other Qualifications : a). Should be conversant with the customs and usages of Sikkim. b). Should have knowledge of any of the State Languages, viz. Nepali, Sikkimese, Bhutia, Lepcha or Limbooo. c). Should have valid local Employment Card. d). In case of candidates applying for the post of Lecturer in Buddhist Philosophy, History and TibetanLanguage, the candidate should be an ordained monk of Nyingma lineage.

5. Scheme of Examination:

Candidates are advised to refer to Appendix I for Detailed Scheme and pattern of Examination for the Written Examination. The syllabus can be downloaded from http://spscskm.gov.in/

  1. The candidates are advised to apply online from our website http://spscskm.gov.in/ on or before 13.04.2018 upto 12 midnight. Application submitted after 13.04.2018 will not be accepted by the software and SPSC will not be responsible for the same.

  2. Candidate should go through the advertisement and read the instructions provided on the web pagecarefully before applying online. Applications received through any other mode shall not beaccepted and summarily rejected.

  3. Application fee amounting to `150/only may be paid online through credit/debit card, Net Banking by Visa/Mastercard. The amount once deposited shall not be refunded or adjusted against any other purpose. Candidates belonging to PWD Category are exempted from paying the fees.

  4. e-Admit Cards can be downloaded and printed by the eligible candidates after a Notice for the same will be published by the Commission in the official website i.e. http://spscskm.gov.in/

  5. Candidates are directed to bring a Photo Identity proof like (Addhar Card, Voters Card, Driving Licence) alongwith valid e-Admit cards in the examination centre for proof of identity.

  6. Rejection list of candidates who do not qualify for the post as per the advertised criteria will be uploaded in the SPSC website w.e.f. 20.04.2018 to 28.04.2018 and if any of the rejected candidateshave reservation on rejection of application, they should submit their grievances along withjustification to the office of the Controller, SPSC on or before 28.04.2018.

  7. Those candidates who qualify in the written examination will be called for interview in the ratio as fixed by the Commission. Short listed candidates for Viva-voce are required to submit attested Photocopies of all relevant documents on the dates specified by the Commission.

  8. No TA/DA is admissible for attending the examination/Interview.

  9. Admission at all the stages of examination for which candidates are admitted by the Commission viz.Written Examination and Interview Test will be purely provisional and is subject to satisfying the prescribed eligibility conditions. If, on verification at any stage of the examination process, it is found thatcandidates do not fulfill any of the eligibility conditions, their candidature for the post will be cancelled by the Commission without notice.

  10. The Commission will not entertain any application on review or RTI/Correspondence till the entire process of recruitment is complete.

  11. Any further instructions/Corrigendum/Addendum would be uploaded only on Sikkim Public Service Commission website i.e. http://spscskm.gov.in/
