Online applications are invited for the below mentioned posts. The last date for filling up the applications is 23.09.2016. Candidates should carefully read the Instructions available on Commissions website before filling the application online.

1. In case of non-availability of suitable candidates with the knowledge of Konkani for the posts in professional colleges, Consultants in Directorate of Health Services and highly technical/scientific posts, the Goa Public Service Commission may recommend a candidate if otherwise found fit and this requirement can be relaxed by the Government, on the recommendation of the Goa Public Service Commission, if the Government is of the opinion that it is necessary or expedient so to do.

2. Prescribed EQs are minimum & mere possession of same does not entitle the candidates to be called for interview. Where number of applications received is large, the Commission will short list the candidates to be called for interview as mentioned in the Instructions.

   1. DIRECTORATE OF ARCHIVES AND ARCHAEOLOGY

      1. Exploration Officer 1 post

         Scale of Pay: Rs. 9,300-34,800+4,200/-. Age: Not exceeding 45 years.

         Educational & Other Qualifications:-

         Essential: (i) At least Second Class Masters degree of a recognised University or equivalent in Indian History or Archaeology, with an Indian Classical language as a subject at degree level. OR At least Second Class Masters degree of a recognised University or equivalent in an Indian Classical language with Indian Classical language with Indian History or Archaeology as a subject at degree level. (ii) One years practical experience in field Archaeology. (iii) Knowledge of Konkani.

         Desirable: (i) Knowledge of Indian Paleography. (ii) Knowledge of Marathi

         Note: (Candidates who have not offered an Indian Classical language or Indian History or Archaeology as the case may be, as a subject at degree level, will also be considered; but if selected, they will be required to pass a special Departmental Examination in the relevant subject before confirmation.)
         (Qualifications relaxable at the discretion of the Goa Public Service Commission in case of candidates otherwise well qualified; in particular the qualifications regarding experience is relaxable in case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes or Scheduled Tribes for posts reserved for them.)

   2. DIRECTORATE OF OFFICIAL LANGUAGE

1. Senior Translator (Konkani) 2 posts [1 resvd for PH (Orthopaedically Handicapped)] (3rdtime)

   Scale of Pay: Rs. 9,300-34,800+4,200/-. Age: Not exceeding 45 years.

   Educational & Other Qualifications:-

   Essential: (i) Post Graduate Degree in Konkani from a recognised University or equivalent. (ii) At least five years experience in translation from Konkani to English and vice versa.

   Desirable: Knowledge of Marathi.

2. Senior Translator (Marathi) 3 posts [1 resvd for PH (Orthopaedically Handicapped)] (3rdtime)

Scale of Pay: Rs. 9,300-34,800+4,200/-. Age: Not exceeding 45 years.

Educational & Other Qualifications:-

Essential: (i) Post Graduate Degree in Marathi from a recognised University or equivalent. (ii) At least five years experience in translation from Marathi to English and vice versa. (iii) Knowledge of Konkani.
