WALK-IN-INTERVIEW
FOR THE POST OF PROJECT ASSISTANT (ON SHORT TERM CONTRACT BASIS)

The IITM is an autonomous premier research institute under Ministry of Earth Sciences, Govt. of India. The Institute is currently looking for recruiting one Project Assistant purely ontemporary and short term contract basis for the period of six months.

| Essential Qualifications: | M.Sc. (Physics/Atmospheric Sciences/RS GIS/Statistics) from recognized University/ Institution with at least 60% marks. |
| Desirable Qualifications: | Knowledge of operating systems like LINUX and WINDOWS, programminglanguages FORTRAN and analysis and visualization softwares like xmgrace, GrADS, CDO etc. Experience in handling meteorological, especially rainfall data sets; knowledge of simple statistical tools. |
| Experience: | Minimum two years of experience in FORTRAN programming and RS GIS applications. |
| Age Limit: | 30 years as on 31st January 2017(Upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, 10 years for physically handicapped and as per rule for ex-servicemen). |
| Salary: | ` 22,000/ per month |
| Tenure: | Six months |
