Applications are invited for one JRF position to work in Early Career Research Award Project that has been funded by SERB, DST. The JRF will work in the project titled Understanding and Modeling the Reactive Transport of Uranium Contaminated Groundwater of Malwa Region, Punjab under the supervision of undersigned. The position is temporary and available immediately. The selected candidate may be permitted to register for PhD program as per the existing institute norms.

Positions: 1 (JRF).

Essential Qualifications: PG degree in any of the following: Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Applied Geology, or related major with minimum 60% marks. The applicant must have qualified the applicable National Eligibility Test.

Desirable Qualification: Experience in performing column transport experiments in lab and its associated data processing, Expertise in using geochemical/transport models PHREEQC, Hydrus, and other related. Experience with independent handling of Environmental laboratory equipments (viz. IC, ICP, AAS, HPLC, etc.) and field soil and groundwater sampling.

Duration of the Contract: Initially 1 year and possible extension of 2 more years based on satisfactory performance.

Emoluments: As per existing SERB norms.
