POSTPOST--DOCTORAL RESEARCH FELLOWSHIPS (FEBRUARYDOCTORAL RESEARCH FELLOWSHIPS (FEBRUARY--2018 SESSION)2018 SESSION)

InstituteofNanoScienceandTechnology(INST)invitesapplicationsforPost-DoctoralResearchFellows.SelectedPost-DoctoralFellowswillworkininterdisciplinarymajorprojectswithfacultyofINST.InterestedcandidatesshouldhavestrongresearchinterestinNanoScienceandTechnology(Drugdelivery,sensors,energy,agriculture,waterpurification,scanningprobemicroscopy,highresolutionelectronmicroscopy,smartmaterials,devices,microfluidics,industrialandsocietaltechnologies).

A.ELIGIBILITYCRITERIA:

Theapplicantsshould

i.EitherholdaPh.D.degreeinScience/EngineeringorshouldhavesubmittedthePhDthesisinScience/Engineering.

ii.Provenresearchcompetenceinanyoftheaboverelatedareas.

iii.Shouldhaveaverygoodacademicrecordandhaveevidentcapabilitiesofbecomingindependentinvestigatorsinfuture.

B.AGE:35yearsason01.02.2018(relaxationof5yearsforSC/ST/PH/Womenand3yearsforOBCcategory).

C.FELLOWSHIP:ThefellowshipcarriesaconsolidatedmonthlystipendofRs.45,000/-besidesacontingencygrantofRs.40,000/-perannum.CandidateswhohavesubmittedthePhDthesisbutareyettobeawardedthePhDdegree,ifselected,willbepaidRs.25,000/-permonthtilltheawardofthedegree.

D.DURATION:3years.

E.MODEOFSELECTION:Thecandidateswillbeshortlistedbasedontheirbiodataprovenevaluationbyashortlistingcommitteeandwillbecalledforinterview.Finalselectionwillbeonthebasisofacademicrecord,researchcompetenceandinterview.TheinterviewwillbeheldattheINST.Shortlistedcandidateswillbeaskedtobringtheiroriginalcertificates(B.Sc.,M.Sc.,M.Tech,PhD)atthetimeoftheinterview.Theshortlistedcandidatesshouldrequestthreerefereestosendtheirconfidentialevaluationdirectlytoapply_postdoc@inst.ac.in.

3.TheenvelopecontainingtheapplicationformshouldsuperscribeApplicationforthePost-DoctoralResearchFellowshipProgramFebruary2018.

4.Theshortlistedcandidateswillbecalledforinterview.ThelistoftheshortlistedcandidateswillbeuploadedontheInstitutewebsiteintheSecondWeekofNovember2018andcommunicationwillbesenttocandidatesonemailaddressgivenbycandidate.

5.ThecandidatescalledforinterviewwillbepaidsleeperclassrailfareorNon-ACBusFare(onproductionofticket)fromplaceofresidencetoInstituteandback.
