Applications are invited from Indian Nationals for filling up the following temporary position on contract basis against consolidated pay in the IIT Guwahati Hospital.

Pathologist - 01 post

Pay : `30,000/- p.m. (Consolidated Pay)

Minimum Qualification : MBBS, MD Pathology from recognized University in India with three (03) years experience/ DCH with five (05) years experience in a Govt. hospitals/ Private hospital or large corporate or Public Sector Undertaking Hospital. Experience may be relaxed in case of meritorious and highly experienced candidates.

Desired Qualification & Experience : MBBS with Post Graduate Degree or Diploma in Pathology from a recognized University in India with three (03) years or five (05) years of experience after PG Degree or Diploma respectively in a Govt. Hospital/ Private Hospital or large Corporate or public Sector Undertaking Hospital. Experience may be relaxed in case of meritorious candidates.

Duties & Responsibilities : Duties will be as assigned by the HOS, Medical Section, IIT Guwahati.

The person selected will have to report for duties in the afternoon during working days of the Institute.

The engagement for the above will be initially for a period of one year. However, based on performance and necessity of the Institute, it is likely to be extended for further period.

Age: Upper age limit 62 years

General Information:

1. Candidates should have working knowledge in using computer systems for information processing and

retrieval.

2. The candidate must be a citizen of India.

3. Degrees as referred above are those which have been awarded by a recognized Institution.

4. The Institute also reserves the right of rejecting any or all the applications without assigning any reasons

thereof. Decision of the Institute will be final and binding in this regard.

5. Any dispute with regard to the selection/recruitment process will be subject to Courts/Tribunals having

jurisdiction over Guwahati.

6. Canvassing in any form/bringing in any influence political or otherwise will be treated as a

disqualification for the post. INTERIM ENQUIRY WILL NOT BE ENTERTAINED.

8. Candidates will not have any claim for a regular appointment in the Institute on the strength of this temporary

appointment.
