/ Relaxation in upper age limit by 05 years for SC/ST candidates and 03 years for OBC

candidates, against the posts reserved for these categories. Exservicemen (ESM), Persons with Disabilities (PWD), Widows, Divorced women and women judicially separated from their husbands and who are not remarried, Meritorious sports persons are eligible for age relaxation as per Government of India Orders. Children/family members of those who died in the riots of 1984 will be given preference in recruitment by giving necessary age relaxation as applicable.

, / Candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC have to submit attested copies of Caste Certificates issued by the competent authority in the prescribed format applicable for reservation in jobs under Government of India, at the time of Written Test/ Skill Test. In respect of OBC candidates, reservation will be available only to candidates, who do not fall in the Creamy Layer. OBC Certificate must specifically include the clause regarding Exclusion from Creamy Layer issued by competent authority in prescribed format applicable for reservation in jobs under Government of India and should be updated/valid as per OM No.36012/22/93Estt (SCT), dt.08091993 issued by Department of Personnel & Training, Government of India at the relevant point of time i.e., at the time of submission of online application.

Candidates applying for the post reserved for PWD have to submit an attested copy of Disability Certificate in the prescribed format at the time of Written Test/ Skill Test, clearly indicating the percentage of disability, issued by Medical Board consisting of at least 03 members out of which one shall be a specialist in the particular field for assessing disability, duly constituted by Central or a State Government. The definition of Disabilities are as follows:

( 60 Hearing Impairment means loss of sixty decibles or more in the better ear in the conversational range of frequencies.

Locomotor disability means disability of the bones, joints or muscles leading to substantial

restriction of the movement of the limbs or any form of cerebral palsy.

Cerebral Palsy means a group of nonprogressive conditions of a person characterized by abnormal motor control posture resulting from brain insult or injuries occurring in the prenatal, perinatal or infant period of development. All the cases of orthopedically handicapped persons would be covered under the category of Locomotor Disability or cerebral palsy. : %40 / DEGREE OF DISABILITY FOR RESERVATION: Only such persons would be eligible for reservation in Services/Posts who suffer from not less than 40% of relevant disability.

/ Candidates applying for the posts reserved for ExServicemen have to submit attested copy of discharge certificate duly indicating the ExServicemen status or NOC if not retired and equivalency certificate to the trade, at the time of Written test/ Skill test.

: The qualification prescribed is the minimum requirement and possession of the same does not automatically make the candidates eligible to be called for written test/Skill Test. Based on the academic performance of the candidates applied, number of vacancies etc., initial screening will be done to shortlist candidates for taking up written test. Shortlisted candidates can download the call letters from our website.Candidates shall be shortlisted for skill test based on the written test scores and required number of candidates alone shall be called for Skill test. Skill Test will be purely on gonogo basis and marks obtained in the skill test shall not be considered for selection. The final selection will be done, amongst qualified candidates, purely based on the scores obtained in the written test.

Candidates called for Skill Test will have to produce all relevant original documents, including No

Objection Certificate, if employed already, in proof of details furnished in their applications

submitted online, at the time of Skill Test. If any information furnished online is found to be

wrong or false, the candidate will not be allowed for Skill Test.

At present the place of posting is SDSC SHAR, Sriharikota, but the selected candidates are

liable to be posted in any of the Centres/Units of the Indian Space Research

Organisation/Department of Space situated in India as and when required.
