Advertisement for the Post of Project Scientist/Engineer at Advanced Materials Research Center

Applications are invited for the post of project scientist/engineer to work on the state-of-art sophisticated instruments at Advanced Materials Research Center (AMRC) at IIT Mandi. Details of the posts are given below.

Work description:

All the works associated with the operations and maintenance of the scanning electron microscope (SEM), transmission electron microscope (TEM) including sample preparation and other related instruments used in materials research. The candidate also should have knowledge and experience in performing electron beam lithography (EBL), STEM imaging, in situ heating and cryo TEM. The candidate should also be willing to perform any official works assigned by the AMRC administration and the faculty in-charges of the instruments.

Minimum qualifications: M.Sc. or B.Tech. in relevant discipline with minimum 2 years experience in handling one or more of the above mentioned instruments. Preference will be given to the person having Chemistry, Physics, Electrical or Electronics background.

Salary: Rs. 20,000/-to Rs. 30,000/-per month depending on qualifications and experience.

Duration: The appointment will be initially made for a period of one year, but the tenure is extendable further based on the performance of the candidate.
