Research Associates for a project with Department of Consumer Affairs, GOI

IIM Kashipur intends to immediately engage 4 Research Associates for a period of six weeks (extendable upto April 30, 2018) for a project with Department of Consumer Affairs on the following terms and conditions:
Job responsibilities: This is a very prestigious project for IIM Kashipur and therefore we are looking for a persons who can deliver the highest quality work, with total dedication and commitment. So in case minimum work is not completed in time as agreed upon by both parties, RAs will need to complete it before payment. The indicative set of requirements for four positions are provided below. 1. Expert in Literature and excellent summarizing and writing skills
Indicative Deliverable: To review, summarize and succinctly present books, literature, articles (including linked articles) etc for use of Project Leader/ Investigator as inputs for their work, as also consolidate material into high-quality documents when required for similar purposes. Will be required to accordingly complete review, presentation etc work of at least one book, and two substantive articles, per week.
2. Expert in Technology and its implications
Indicative Deliverable: To take up extensive literature and Internet search of latest technologies ( like AI, IoT, 3 D printing, Genomics, healthcare wearables etc, ) and futuristic thinking in different areas, prepare quality knowledge papers/ documents on this basis, and present them succinctly for use of Project Leader/ Investigator as inputs for their work. Will be required to take up extensive search and presentation of at least one major technological area each week.
3. Expert in Consumer Protection
Indicative Deliverable: To work on completing a discussion paper of at least 100 pages on a selected topic on consumer protection which require detailed literature survey and some primary data collection by collecting surveys and interviews on phone. The topic and base paper on the topic will be provided by the Project Leader/ Investigator on joining.
4. Expert in Law
Indicative Deliverable: Conducting Research into institutional arrangements/systems and provide knowledge inputs for setting up the Central Consumer Protection Agency (CCPA), envisaged in the Consumer Protection Bill, 2015.
Besides the above indicative deliverables, RAs may be given other related work at the discretion of Project Leader/ Investigator.
Required qualifications: Post Graduate from reputed institution preferably first class in Masters.
Remuneration: Research Associate will be given a stipend of Rs. 20000/-per month. In case of outstanding work, additional Rs 5,000/-bonus may be considered. An experience certificate from IIM Kashipur, will be issued at the end of successful engagement.
Duration: Appointments will be made purely on contract basis for a period of six weeks which can be extended upto April 30, 2018, depending on quality of work and funds available, with first two weeks as the probationary period. Exceptional performance may be rewarded with opportunity to work on next project.
