Walk-in interview for the post of a JRF under an SERB project
Title of the project: High Field Magneto-Transport & Spectroscopic Studies on Topologically Non-Trivial Systems at Sub-kelvin Temperatures.
Period: 1 year (can be extended up to 3 years).
Emoluments: As per DST rules.
Essential qualifications:
(a) MSc in Physics
Desired qualifications:
(a) The candidates who have passed NET/GATE/JEST in physics will be given preference.
(b) Very good understanding of quantum mechanics and solid state physics is required.
(c) Good computer programming skills will be a plus.
The candidates must bring the following documents with them on the day of interview:
1. Original certificates confirming academic qualifications.
2. A photo copy of CV.
3. Two recommendation letters in sealed envelopes.
4. A write up (1000 words) on the research goals of the candidate.
Date of interview: January 2, 2017
Place of interview: AB-1, IISER Mohali. The candidates must report at room no. 1F3 before 10 am.
Note: depending on the number of candidates, the candidates may be asked to appear for a written test before the interview.
