RECRUITMENT OF CANDIDATES FOR THE POST OF TYPISTS

Online applications in the prescribed format are invited from applicants who are qualified as on the last date fixed for submission of applications for recruitment to 34 Posts of Typist on the establishment of the High Court of Karnataka, Bengaluru, through online link on http://karnatakajudiciary.kar.nic.in/recruitment.asp

Method of Recruitment : Selection of candidates will be made in accordance with The High Court of Karnataka Service (Conditions of Service and Recruitment) Rules, 1973, as amended from time to time and The High Court of Karnataka Service (Direct Recruitment by Selection) Rules, 1984, as amended from time to time.

Minimum Qualification:
-
Minimum Qualification shall be a degree in Science / Arts / Commerce/ Business Management / Computer Applications of a recognized University with minimum of 55% marks in the aggregate for candidate belonging to General Category & other backward categories & a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate for candidates belonging to Schedule Caste & Schedule Tribes.

Should have passed Senior Grade Typewriting examination in English & Kannada with knowledge of operating computers.

Note: - Knowledge of operation of computers means possessing a certificate in computer basics issued by an institute imparting Computer education.
3. Scale of Pay : Rs.11600 - 200 - 12000 - 250 - 13000 - 300 - 14200 - 350 -

Probation : The applicant if appointed shall be initially on probation for a period of two years or for extended period if necessary.

Mode of Selection: Selection to the post of Typists will be made on the basis of performance in the following Tests:

Note : As per Rule 5 of High Court of Karnataka of Service (Direct Recruitment By Selection) Rules, 1984 such number of candidates as equal to five times the number of vacancies notified, selected in the order of merit, shall be called for the Typing Test.

Age limit: The age limit is, minimum of 18 years for all categories and the maximum age limit is as under:-
-
40 years in the case of a person belonging to Scheduled Caste or Scheduled Tribe or Category-I of other Backward Classes.
-
38 years in the case of a person belonging of Category II-A or II-B or III-A or III-B of other Backward Classes; and
-
35 years for others.
-
Not withstanding anything contained in Rule 6 of the Karnataka Civil Services (General Recruitment) Rules, 1977,

In case of an applicant who is working or holding a post under the Government or a local authority or a Corporation established by a State Act or Central Act or established by the Government under a State Act or Central Act and owned or controlled by the Government by the number of years during which he/she is or was holding such post or ten years whichever is less;
-
In case of candidate who is an ex-serviceman - by three years plus the number of years of service rendered by him in the Armed Forces of the Union;
-
In case of a candidate who is physically handicapped - by ten years;
-
In the case of a candidate who is widow - by ten years;

The minimum and maximum age limit will be as on the last date fixed for applying online i.e., 30.04.2017.

Method of Application and fee: The method of Application shall be through online on the websitehttp://karnatakajudicary.kar.nic.in/recruitment.asp to be applied as per the instructions made available in the Annexure on the website. Applications sent by any other mode other than online will not be considered.

The candidates belonging to General Merit and other Backward classes other than SC/ST/Category I and Physically Handicapped candidates, shall pay an Application Fee of 250/- (Rupees Two Hundred Fifty Only) for and candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribe/ Category-I/ Physically Handicapped, shall pay and Application Fee of 100/- (Rupees One Hundred Only) prescribed for the post, by any of the following mode of payment.

Online Payment: On submission of online application the candidates shall make the online payment of application fee by SBI online payment gateway mentioned in the online application.

Challan Form: On submission of online application the candidates shall download the challan through the SBI online payment gateway link mentioned in the online application in PDF format and shall remit the prescribed fee in any branch of SBI. (System need to support PDF reader-like Adobe, Acrobat)

Candidates Claiming Reservations:
-
Under SC/ ST, Category - I / II A / II B / III A / III B shall possess the certificate in the form as prescribed by the Government of Karnataka and issued by the competent Authority.
-
Claiming reservation under Rural / Physically Handicapped / Ex - Servicemen / Kannada Medium / Displaced for projects/Widow candidates shall posses the Certificates issued by Competent Authorities.

The candidates claiming benefits under Sl. No. 10 (a) and (b) above shall possess the relevant certificates, issued by the Competent Authorities on or before the last date of applying on line.

Candidates who are in service of Union of India / State Governments and their undertaking should possess the "No Objection Certificate" issued by the concerned Authority at the time of verification of documents/further tests.

Candidates claiming reservation under Local Cadre shall possess the relevant certificate issued by the Competent Authority on or before the last day of applying online as prescribed under The Karnataka Public Employment (Reservation in appointment for Hyderabad-Karnataka Region) (Issue of Eligibility Certificates) Rules, 2013.

Candidates called for the Document Verification/Typing & Written Test shall furnish the necessary original documents with regard to Educational Qualification, Caste, Date of Birth, reservations claimed with regard to Rural / Physically Handicapped / Ex - Servicemen / Kannada Medium / Displaced for projects/Widow and reservation claimed for Local Cadre for verification. On verification,if the information so furnished by the applicant in the application is found to be false, then their candidature is liable for rejection and also they are liable for criminal prosecution for furnishing false information.

The candidates shall furnish 3 character certificates (one from the last studied education Institution and 2 from the respectable persons) at the time of document verification

Candidates called for Tests/Viva-voce will have to appear for the same at their own cost.

The recruitment to the post of Typists is made for posting either at High Court of Karnataka Principal Bench at Bengaluru or High Court of Karnataka Benches at Dharwad and Kalaburagi.

If any applicant is found to attempt / obtain extraneous support by any means for candidature from any officials or non-officials, he/she will not be eligible for appointment.

General Instructions to the Applicant
-
Applicants shall read all the instructions carefully before submitting the applications, so as to avoid the mistakes.
-
Candidate must specifically indicate the Residual Parent Cadre/ Local cadre of reservation in the column earmarked in the application under which candidate would like to be considered. Further candidate is not permitted to change the Residual Parent Cadre/ Local cadre claimed in the application. (Local Cadre means Reservation to the candidates belonging to Hyderabad Karnataka Region)

The applicants shall provide the Mobile number (Compulsory) and valid E-mail Id if any, for communication, at relevant columns while submitting online application. The authority is not responsible for non receipt of SMS or E-mail.

To avoid last minute rush, the applicants are advised to submit the online applications well in advance. The website will accept the applications round the clock upto 30.04.2017 till 11.59 p.m.

The decision of the High Court of Karnataka will be final, as to the eligibility for Typing Test & Viva-voce or otherwise of an applicant.

The list of eligible applicants short listed for typing test / Viva Voce will be placed on High Court of Karnataka website -www.karnatakajudiciary.kar.nic.in.
-
Intimation will be sent to the eligible candidates through a SMS message to Cell phone and also an email will be sent to Email-Id, if provided. The list of short listed applicants will also be notified on the High Court of Karnataka website:www.karnatakajudiciary.kar.nic.in/ recruitment.asp for downloading the "Call- Letter". Applicant must bring his/her 'Call-Letter', at the time of appearing for the Tests / Viva Voce.

The Applicants shall have to appear for the Typing Test and Viva-Voce if called for, at their own expenses at the place and time decided and notified by the High Court of Karnataka.

The Applicants shall produce the copy of "Call Letter" and "Identity Proof" (Voter ID or Aadhaar Card or PAN Card or Driving License or Ration card or Passport in Original can be produced as a proof of identity) while appearing for the Typing Test / Viva Voce for verification.

The applicants shall produce all the original testimonials with a set of self attested photo copies i.e., Mark Sheets and Certificates of SSLC/Xth Std., PUC, English and Kannada Senior Typing, Graduation, Post Graduation, Computer Basics Training Certificate, Caste Certificates, Certificates for claiming any reservations, 2 Passport size photographs and also Three Character certificates (one from last studied education institution and two from the respectable persons) while appearing for the Typing Test & Viva-voce for scrutiny.

On the basis of marks obtained in Typewriting Test, candidates will be short listed for Viva voce.

Mere success in the Typing Test and/or Viva-voce shall not confer any right to appointment and no applicant shall be appointed to the post unless the High Court of Karnataka is satisfied, after such enquiries as may be considered necessary that the applicant is suitable in all respects for appointment to the post.

The applicant shall pay the appropriate Application Fee as mentioned in the notification, either by mode of online banking or through Challan form as notified by the High Court of Karnataka. The fee shall be remitted at any branch of the State Bank of India (SBI).

The Applicant shall scan his/her latest passport size photograph with white back ground (having 5 cm of length X 3.6 cm of breadth with max. size 50kb) and signature on white paper in black ball point pen (having 2.5cm of length X 7.5 cm of breadth with max. size 25kb) in .jpg format and upload the same, while submitting the Online application.

The applicants shall not upload any other original or attested copies of the documents/ certificates (except the above specified documents) at the stage of submitting the online application.

While applying online application for the post, the applicants shall ensure that he/she fulfils the eligibility and other norms as mentioned above and that all the particulars furnished by him/her are correct in all respects. In case it is detected at any stage of recruitment that a applicant does not fulfill the eligibility norms and/or that he/she has suppressed/twisted or truncated any material facts, his/her candidature will stand cancelled. If any of these shortcomings is detected even after appointment, his/her contract shall be liable to be terminated. Furnishing of wrong, incomplete or incorrect information would not only lead to disqualification but also liable for criminal prosecution.
