For faculty in the department of Architecture following will be essential qualification without insisting on credit point requirements at Assistant Professor level: M.Arch./M.Plan. with 01 year professional experience : Assistant Professor at AGP of Rs.6000/- M.Arch./M.Plan. with 02 years of professional experience : Assistant Professor at AGP of Rs.7000/- For higher cadres the EQ and credit point requirement will remain same as given in the table for Engineering and Sciences. Specialization : A candidate with any specialization may apply. However, the concerned Departments/Schools/Centres will shortlist the name(s) as per their requirement. Reservation : Without any compromise on qualification, experience and competence, reservation as per Government of India rules is applicable. Pension : Freshly recruited candidates shall be governed by the New Pension Scheme of the Govt. of India. Academic reimbursements and other incentives In addition to normal pay and allowances, as applicable to the Central Govt. employees stationed at IIEST, Shibpur, following additional incentives are also available to the faculty members;

1. Financial assistance for attending National/international Conferences, Membership for professional bodies and other contingent expenses under the scheme of Cumulative Professional Development Allowance (CPDA) limited to Rs. one (01) Lakh per annum.
2. Medical Facility for the faculty members and their dependent family members.
3. Suitable in- campus residential accommodation as per rule, subject to the availability.
4. Transportation Allowance as per Govt. of India norms.
5. To encourage research activities, the Institute has provision of generous research funding for laboratory development for R&D for faculty members after joining.
6. Provision for consulting fees from consultancy and testing.

General Information Minimum requirement of experience may be relaxed in respect of outstanding candidates. Degrees referred above should have been awarded by a recognized University / Institute. Mere eligibility will not vest any right on any candidate for being called for interview. The decision of the Institute in all matters will be final. No correspondence will be entertained from the candidates in connection with the process of selection / interview. The Institute reserves the right to call for interview only those candidates shortlisted on the basis of their qualification, experience, research and publication records and departmental requirements etc. The Institute reserves the right to fill or not to fill any or all the posts advertised. Persons employed in Government Organizations / Quasi Government Organizations should submit their application through proper channel. On special request by a candidate selected for interview but staying abroad, an interview through Skype may be arranged. Canvassing in any manner may entail disqualification of the candidature. Any dispute with regard to the selection / recruitment process will be subject to Courts / Tribunals having jurisdiction over Kolkata.

Candidates possessing requisite qualification and experience are required to apply in prescribed application from and Biodata Sheet (downloaded from the website www.iiests.ac.in ) and to submit to the Receiving Section of the Institute either in person or by post alongwith a DD of Rs.600/- (Rupees six hundred only) drawn in favour of Registrar, IIESTS on any Nationalized Bank payable at Kolkata. SC/ST candidates, internal faculty members and the candidates who applied in response to Advt. No. OC/D(AA)/15/34 dated 09.10.2015 are exempted from paying application fee. However, the last mentioned candidates have to attach a copy of the first page of the earlier application form alongwith a fresh application. The applications received in response to Advt. No OC/D(AA)/15/34 dated 09.10.2015 shall be considered for short listing. However, in order to abide by the criteria for recruitment as per new MHRD rules, such previous applicants have to fill up the new format downloaded from the Institute website and submit.
