CONTRACTUAL APPOINTMENT FOR COACHES & INSTRUCTORS

The Sports Board of IIT Guwahati is seeking passionate and dynamic Physical Education (PE) Instructors & Coaches on contractual basis till March 2018 from the date of engagement for providing instructions and coaching for various sports disciplines. The term of contract appointments may be subsequently extended for a spell of 10 months each year depending upon performance. Candidates not necessarily involved with IIT Guwahati earlier but having experience at other Institution are strongly encouraged to apply.

1. Physical Education Instructors (PEI) for Sports Activity Sports & Games:

Athletics (01), Badminton (01), Basketball (01), Cricket (01), Football (01), Hockey (01), Lawn Tennis (01), Swimming (01), Table Tennis (01), Volleyball (01), Weight Lifting (01).

Minimum Qualification:

1. A bachelor degree in physical education OR any graduate with diploma in Physical Education are eligible.

2. Expertise in the relevant sports.

Desirable: Minimum 2 years of service experience in any institution of repute. Candidates should have knowledge of conducting classes with sports curriculum in the relevant discipline.

2. Coaches for Inter IIT Sports Meet and National Sports Organization (NSO) courses:

Athletics (01), Badminton (01), Basketball (01), Cricket (01), Football (01), Hockey (01), Lawn Tennis (01), Table Tennis (01), Volleyball (01), Weightlifting (01), Water Polo (01), Gym (01), Squash (01).

Minimum Qualification:

1. At least one year diploma in Coaching from NSNIS or equivalent OR represented India in relevant sports at international level OR a medal winner in University or State at national level OR represented University or State at national level.

2. For Gym. Coach degree in any subject with minimum 2 years of experience in any gymnasium of repute preferably with bodybuilding background.

3. Minimum 2 years of experience in any institution of repute.

The link will be activated from September 07, 2017 (10 AM) and will be closed on September 20, 2017 (5 PM).

The list of the shortlisted candidates will be displayed only on IITG webpage (http://www.iitg.ac.in/home/quickpages/17 ) for attending next stage of selection process. As such the candidates are advised to check IIT Guwahati website regularly.

The shortlisted candidates should bring all original documents on the day of practical test and interview.

Govt. / PSU employee should submit no objection certificate issued by the employer of the organization at the time of certificate verification OR else an UNDERTAKING by the candidate must be submitted.

Simply satisfying minimum requirement will not guarantee consideration for a selection.

Minimum requirement of qualification and experience may be relaxed in case of exceptionally outstanding candidates.

No TA/DA is permissible for attending the practical test & interview.

The Institute reserves the right of rejecting any or all the applications without assigning any reasons thereof and also to re-advertise the posts if no suitable candidates are found. Decision of the Institute will be final and binding in all cases.

Duty hours: 6 days in a week from 5.00 pm to 9.00 pm.

Remuneration: Maximum of Rs. 25,000/- per month based on qualification and experience.
