Invites applications for the post of Librarian [General Category]

Essential Qualification: A Master's Degree in Library Science/Information Science/Documentation with 15 years of experience in a reputed national level Research Institute / University in the cadre of Assistant Librarian/Deputy Librarian.

Experience: Working knowledge of integrated house-keeping software and digital library software such as GSDL or D-space, ability to network with other libraries for resource sharing activities. Should have excellent communication skills in English, ability to independently draft notes for the meeting, minutes, letters, circulars, etc and ability to work with diverse set of users and colleagues.

Desirable: M.Phil/Ph.D in Library Science/Information Science. Specialised course in Computer Applications and Networking related to the Library. Working experience in Libraries in Social Science Institutions.

Scale of Pay: Rs.15600-39100 + GP of Rs.5400 [Based of 6^th Pay Commission] with allowances as per Institute's rules.

Note :

1. Every applicant is required to provide the names and addresses of two referees not associated with MIDS.

2. If previously employed, a letter of good conduct and no objection from the last place of employment to be submitted.
