Vacancies in National Rural Livelihood Promotion Society

The Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India has been implementing Deen Dayal Antyodaya Yojana-National Rural Livelihoods Mission (NRLM), with the support of the states. The Mission aims at alleviating rural poverty through creating community institutions of the poor and providing them financial, technical and livelihood support. The Ministry of Rural Development has set up National Rural Livelihood Promotion Society (NRLPS) to provide technical assistance to the states implementing the Mission. The NRLPS provides technical support to the states through various thematic professionals. The NRLPS now seeks to hire the services of following technical staff. Applications are invited from suitable candidates for the following positions under NRLPS. Educational qualifications and desired skillset required for the positions are furnished below.

Remuneration

L1- Minimum 1,20,000/- per month plus travel related reimbursables as per NRLPS norms

L2- Minimum 1,00,000/- per month plus travel related reimbursable as per NRLPS norms

NRLM Fellow 50,000/ per month plus travel related reimbursable as per NRLPS norms

If the finally selected candidates are already drawing a higher salary, then their remuneration will be suitably fixed after negotiations.

M&E

Post Graduate in Economics/Econometrics/Rural Management/ Management/Development Studies from a reputed university or institution. Ph.D. in the relevant subject would be highly desirable for L1.

At least 15 years of relevant M&E experience for L1 and 10 years of relevant M&E experience for L2 level.

Experience required in design, conduct/management of large studies/research

studies/evaluation studies in the area of rural development/ livelihoods/ poverty alleviation, particularly, in respect of projects funded by the Government of India, state governments and multilateral agencies. The candidate should essentially have experience in project monitoring, process monitoring and community monitoring of rural development projects. Experience in sampling design, data analysis, development of methods and tools, report writing, documentation of case studies and best practices as well as knowledge products is also required. He/she should have experience in using econometric/statistical methods, data analysis using MIS and be familiar with SPSS, SAS and atlas.ti.

L2

Mission Manager- Financial Inclusion Insurance

PG/ MBA in Finance/ Rural Management/ Social Work/ Development Studies/ Agriculture/ Animal Husbandry/ Forestry/ Forest Management or any other discipline related social science or agriculture from a reputed university or institution.

Should have 10 years of relevant working experience in livelihood promotion for poor,

working with state and national level at large scale Poverty Reduction/ Livelihoods programme. The person should have hands on experience in conceptualizing, designing and implementation of large scale micro insurance and social security programme S/he should have conversant with policies and regulations governing micro insurance. The person should have knowledge about insurance providers and other stake holders, technology interventions in insurance and DBT. Preference will be given to the person having experience of working with state/central government programmes of similar nature

and size.

Association involvement in the implementation of livelihoods/poverty reduction programme at scale with Financial Inclusion Intervention.

Closely working with rural poor communities.

Persons having additional qualification on insurance will be preferred. Retired Bankers / retired persons from insurance company having relevant experience will also be considered.

L2

Mission Manager MIS (Farm Livelihoods)

B Tech (Computer Science, Electrical, Electronics or IT)/ M Tech (Computer Science, Electrical, Electronics or IT) /MCA from a recognized university/Institution.

At least 8 years of experience in software development in a reputed firm. Experience in design, development and management of MIS for large scale social development/ livelihoods/banking sector projects in core JAVA, JAVA web service, Spring/struts frame work, Hibernate, pgSQL, JSP servlet is desirable. Leading software development teams with managerial capacity would be given preference.

NRLM Fellow

The minimum educational requirement for the position is Post Graduate Degree/ Diploma in any Discipline from an Institute of national/ International repute.

Maximum age limit is 30 years.

A combination of the following attributes will be desirable-

S/he should have passion for working with poor,

S/he should have a commitment to undertake grassroots level assignments and stay with rural poor community,

S/he should have ability to work in/with teams,

S/he should have good academic career,

S/he should be proficient in Hindi and English,

The candidate who have passed their PG Degree/ Diploma after
