Advertisement for the position of Junior Research Fellow / Project Assistant in DBT Project

Applications are invited from highly motivated and bright candidates for engagement as Junior Research Fellow (JRF)/ Project Assistant (PA) in a DBT-funded research project at INST, Mohali.

Title of the project: Dynamic Self-assembled Nucleic Acid Analogues

Number of positions available: One (1)

Qualifications:

Essential: M. Sc. Chemistry with GATE/NET etc. Candidates without GATE/NET etc. are eligible for PA position.

Desirable: Research experience in synthesis and characterization of organic compounds

Age: Below 28 years as on 31st October 2017 (relaxable as per the norms of Government of India)

Salary: 27,500/- (consolidated) per month for JRF with NET/GATE OR 16,800/- (consolidated) per month for PA without NET/GATE

Project duration: Initially one year with the possibility of extension up to 3 years

Terms and Conditions:

The position is temporary and renewable each year subject to satisfactory performance for a maximum of three years. The position is co-terminus with the project.

Candidate selected for this position may also apply for the regular Ph. D. programme at INST provided they satisfy the eligibility criteria.

No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
