Advertisement for JRF Position

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in a DBT funded Research Project entitled Demonstration of sustainable algal biomass production in outdoor environment for cost effective biofuel production".

Objectives of the Project

The main aim of project is to increase algae biomass and lipid productivity with reduced cost involved. Project demands to work on different strategies to achieve the objectives of increased yield with cost reduction alongwith upscaling of process.

Eligibility

Essential Qualification:

M.Sc. (with valid GATE) or M.Tech. degree in Biotechnology /Genetic Engineering/ Biochemistry/ Environment Science/Life Sciences or in any other science and engineering stream with basic knowledge of biology

Desirable:

Candidates having exposure to algae cultivation, oil extraction and biofuels production are encouraged to apply.

Monthly Stipend:

As per norms i.e. aproximately Rs. 25,000 + 20% HRA (if hostel accommodation is not provided)

Age: Below 28 years on the date of application

Duration:

Initial appointment will be for 12 months, which is extendable up to 18 months solely based on performance.
