Applications are invited through e-mail for the appointment of (i) Scientists D (ii) Research Associate-I and (iii) Junior Research Fellow under the umbrella of DST funded Technical Research Centre (TRC) for Molecules and Materials at the Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science.

1 Important Notes

Each of the above mentioned fellowship will be provided initially for one year. However, upon satisfactory performance and positive recommendation from a project monitoring committee, the fellowship may be extended till the duration (5 years starting from 01.01.2016) of the TRC project. The position is purely temporary and the candidate will not have any right to claim (explicit or implicit) to any permanent post in the Institute. No TA will be admissible for attending the interview.

The candidates may apply by email only to trc@iacs.res.in with complete Curriculum Vitae (mentioning e-mail address, contact number, permanent residential address, list of publications, academic credentials and any other document that is relevant to the application). A cover letter must accompany the application clearly stating the post for which application has been sent and also the expertise of the candidate in one of the four above mentioned research areas.

Short listed candidates will be asked to provide three (in case of Science D) or two (in case of RA) letter of recommendation before they appear for interview.

The selection may not be restricted to only the candidates who apply.

2 Applicable to Scientist D post only: Exceptional performance during the project tenure will be given due credit for their future job application to IACS as an independent faculty member as and when such a vacancy becomes available.

The recruitment process will be a continuous one starting from the start date of the TRC project till its tenure and there is as such no deadline. Selection may not be restricted among those who apply. For outstanding candidates, the experience can be relaxed. Offer can be made to deserving candidates at scales commensurate with knowledge, background and experience.
