Applications are invited to fill-up 3 posts of Deputy Director Generals (Joint Secretary level) and 3 posts of Directors on deputation basis in the Development Evaluation and Monitoring Office, an attached office of the NITI Aayog, Government of India. The DMEO has the responsibility to monitor and evaluate the implementation of the Central Government programmes. Monitoring of implementation of government programmes has acquired center-stage for the present. These include the monitoring of initiatives by the Infrastructure Sector Ministries, Social Sector initiatives by the Social Sector Ministries, monitoring the implementation of Departmental Action Plans prepared by the respective Departments/ Ministries on the basis of recommendations of Groups of Secretaries on 8 Themes, and key deliverables under the Outcome Budgets of various Ministries. All monitoring is to done on the basis of a Dashboard of various milestones in respect of various deliverables. On evaluation side, the tasks involve framing the evaluation study designs, monitoring & supervising the evaluation studies and drafting & finalizing the Evaluation Reports. The Deputy Director Generals and Directors would act as the responsibility centers for the Monitoring and Evaluation functions.

Officers working on CSS deputation shall be eligible for additional two years, subject to the engagement of at least two years in each post. Details of these posts and terms & conditions for the appointment, eligibility, etc. are given below:

1. Cadre Clearance/Specific No Objection.

2. Photocopies of the Annual Confidential Reports/ Annual Performance Appraisal Reports of the candidate for the last five years duly attested by an Officer not below the rank of Under Secretary to the Govt. of India;

3. Integrity Certificate (IC) to be signed by an Officer not below the rank of Deputy Secretary to the Govt. of India;

4. Vigilance Clearance (VC) indicating that no disciplinary proceedings or criminal proceedings are either pending or contemplated against the Officer concerned; and

5. List of major/ minor penalties, if any, imposed on the candidate during the last 10 years OR No Penalty Certificate (PC), as the case may be.
