The Institute

The National Institute of Ayurveda was established on 7-2-1976 by the Government of India as an apex Institute of Ayurveda in the country to develop high standards of teaching, training and research in all aspects of Ayurvedic System of Medicine with a scientific approach. The Institute is engaged in Teaching, Clinical, Research and is affiliated to Rajasthan Ayurveda University, Jodhpur. Admission to Under-Graduate, Post-Graduate and Ph.D. level is made on the basis of entrance Examination conducted on all India basis.

The Institute imparts UG, PG and Ph.D. Education and also Diploma Course in Ayurveda Nursing and Pharmacy. The UG Course of Ayurvedacharya (BAMS) is of 5 Year duration. The 3-Year PG Course of MD/MS(Ay.) is available in 14 Specialties, viz. Agad Tantra, Dravya Guna, Kayachikitsa, Kaumar Bhritya, Maulik Siddhanta, Panchkarma, Prasuti Stri Roga, Roga & Vikrit Vigyan, Rasa Shastra, Sharir Rachana, Sharir Kriya, Shalya Tantra, Shalakya Tantra and Swastha Vritta. The Institute has a 300 Bedded NABH Accredited Hospital with OPD and a Primary Emergency Care Unit. There is specialized Panchkarma setup with large number of daily patients for a number of Panchkarma procedures, Specialty Clinics for Diabetis, Allergy, Geriatric, Dietary, Child Mental Health, Eye etc. are also available in the Hospital for specialized consultation, treatment etc.

What is Panchkarma?

Panchkarma is very unique therapeutic procedure because of its preventive, promotive, curative and rejuvenating properties. Panchkarma has its own importance in all the Astang-Ayurveda. Ayurvedas primary aim is purification and detoxification treatment and Panchkarma is the backbone- the five therapeutic (bio purification procedures) means of eliminating toxins from body. The Panchkarma therapies help to remove the deep-rooted stress and illness. Panchkarma is simple and holistic ways of bio-purification. In many instances Panchkarma is made glamorous and people are misguided, Panchkarma as merely for relaxation technique. Panchkarma may lose its glory due to short cut ways of earning. There is increasing demand of technical assistants in national and international level for the smooth conduction of procedures and to stop unethical practice. Panchkarma therapies are going to achieve more global acceptance as the therapies are fulfilling the aims and goals of wholesome and positive health of human being. At National Institute of Ayurveda, an intense course - Panchkarma Technician Certificate Course - has been designed, which is one of its kind in the country.

The Course Scope

This Course helps one who learns the same to be technically trained and confident along with a deeper insight into Panchkarma and its principles. After completing the course the technical assistants can find job placements in Ayurvedic hospitals, Panchkarma Centers, Health Resorts, Wellness Centers, Rehabilation Centres etc. The demand for skilled Panchkarma Technicians are on high rise as acceptance of Ayurveda is widely spreading across the globe.

ADMISSION IN PANCHKARMA TECHNICIAN CERTIFICATE COURSE

Eligibility for Admission: 12th Standard Pass of any Stream from a School recognized by a State Board/ CBSE/ ICSE or any other recognized Board by the Govt of India.

Age Limit: Upto 40 Years. (Relaxable to SC, ST, OBC and PH Candidates as per Govt. of India Rules)

Health status: The candidate must be physically fit along with good physical and mental endurance.

Duration: One Year

Selection Procedure: Merit of the Marks obtained in 12th Standard.

Counseling and Medical: Provisionally selected candidates for counseling will have to appear at the Institute on the specified date and time when so called for at their own expenses. Candidate will be medically examined by a Medical Board of the Institute, to certify their medical fitness.

Medium of Instruction: English and Hindi

Seats: 30 Students Per Batch

Examination: Annual and Supplementary Exams will be conducted by the Institute.

Certificate: Examination will be conducted annually, in which duration of theory paper will be 3 hours each. Minimum Passing Marks in Theory as well in Practical will be 50%. Supplementary Examination will be conducted after 3 months. The Certificate will be awarded to the qualified students by the Institute.

General Rules and Regulations: Will be followed as per NIA guidelines.

Dress: All Students should wear White Dress. Male: White Pant-Shirt Female: White Salwar-Kamiz

Hostel facility: Selected candidates should arrange by their own.

Reservation:

Total Seats: 30. Foreign Nationals: 2, Scheduled Caste:4, Scheduled Tribe:2, OBC:7 and General: 15.

1 Seat is reserved for PH(OL) among these Seats. In case of non-availability of Foreign Nationals, the Seat(s) shall be filled by Indian nationals as per Roster Points.

Applications not supported by the appropriate caste certificates for the reservation category claimed will be treated as General/Unreserved. In case of detection of any false or discrepancy in their certificates, the candidature will be rejected summarily and no correspondence will be entertained at all.

SC/ST/OBC candidates are required to produce original caste certificate in the prescribed format signed by the specified authority, at the time of counseling. This is mandatory.

Application Fee (by Bank Demand Draft (DD) only):

Applicants have to attach a Demand Draft for an amount of Rs.500 (General & OBC) and Rs. 250 (SC & ST Candidates) along with the duly filled Application Form.

Application Fee: Bank Demand Draft (DD) in favor of Director, National Institute of Ayurveda payable at Jaipur. Candidate must mention his Name, Category on the reverse of the Demand Draft. Application Fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances.

Fees for the Course:

Rs. 36,000 for Indian Nationals. 1000 US $ for Foreign Nationals. Rs. 36,000 for Candidates belonging to BIMSTEC and SAARC Countries. The Fees should be deposited at the time of taking admission.

How to apply/Last Date for Receipt of Applications:

Candidates are required to apply in the prescribed Format given herewith. The Format should be neatly typed on A4 size paper on one side and should be signed by the Candidate at the specified space with Date. The Institute will not consider any another format or application proforma. Application completed in all respects enclosing self-attested copies of all certificates, mark sheets, testimonials in support of age, educational qualifications, caste/community in prescribed format by Govt. of India, the supporting documents should be sent in an envelope Superscripted Application For Panchkarma Technician Certificate Course 2018-19 by Registered/Speed Post and should reach the following Address on or before 5-1-2018(Friday). Applications received after the Closing Date will not be accepted.
