Consequent to the Recruitment Policy modifications it is hereby conveyed to all the applicants who had applied for various posts vide the Forest Department Advertisement dated 23/7/2014, that the Recruitment Process stands cancelled. Hence, fresh applications for different posts are sought from eligible candidates as below:

1. Junior Assistant (Divisional Level):

   Pay Band-2 Rs. 5200/- to Rs. 20200/- with grade Pay of Rs.2200/- P.M. plus other allowances as admissible under the Rules

   1. No. Of Post: 84 nos.

   2. Eligibility Criteria:

      Minimum Education Qualification	-	Graduate from any recognized University
      Additional Qualification	-	Candidate must have Certificate/Diploma of 6(six) month in Computer Application i.e. MS Office etc.
      Age: 18 years to 38 years as on 01-01-2016. The upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years in case of SC/ST candidate and by 2 years in respect of EX- serviceman

      The Selection test shall comprise of:

      Written test for 3 hrs: (a) General English (b) General Knowledge (c) General Arithmetic.

      (a) Computer eligibility test (b) Typing test

2. Junior Assistant (Directorate Level):

   Pay Band-2 Rs. 5200/- to Rs. 20200/- with grade Pay of Rs.2400/- P.M. plus other allowances as admissible under the Rules

   1. No. Of Post: 67 nos.

   2. Eligibility Criteria:

      Minimum Education Qualification	-	Graduate from any recognized University
      Additional Qualification	-	Candidate must have Certificate/Diploma of 6(six) month in Computer Application i.e. MS Office etc.
      Age: 18 years to 38 years as on 01-01-2016. The upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years in case of SC/ST candidate and by 2 years in respect of EX- serviceman

      The Selection test shall comprise:

      Written test for 3 hrs: (a) General English (b) General Knowledge (c) General Arithmetic.

      (a) Computer eligibility test (b) Typing test

3. Forest Guard:

   Pay Band-2: Rs.5200 - to Rs.20200/ -with Grade Pay of Rs. 2200/-P.M. plus other allowances as admissible under the Rules

   1. Nos. of post 525 Nos.

   2. Eligibility Criteria:

      Minimum Education Qualification	-	Higher Secondary or equivalent passed from recognized board.
      Physical standard	-	Height : General Hill & Plain tribes Chest : Normal Expanded	Male	Female
      			163 cm 153 cm 79 cm 84 cm	150 cm 145 cm
      Age:18 years to 38 years as on 01/01/2016. The upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years in case of SC/ST candidates and by 2 years in respect of Ex-Serviceman.

      The selection test shall comprise of the following:

      1. Written test for 2 hrs.

         1. General Mathematics of Higher Secondary or Equivalent Standard.

         2. English dictation.

         3. General Knowledge.

      2. Physical Fitness Test:

         Comprising of 26 Kms. (for male) and 16 Kms. (for female) of walking to be covered within 4 hours followed by medical test.

4. Draftsman (GIS Expert):

   Pay Band-2 Rs. 5200/- to Rs. 20200/- with grade Pay of Rs.2700/- P.M. plus other allowances as admissible under the Rules.

   1. No. of posts: 7 nos.

   2. Eligibility Criteria:

      Minimum Education Qualification	-	Post Graduate degree in Geo-Sciences/ Geo- Informatics/MCA
      Minimum Technical Qualification	-	Minimum 4 years technical experience of working within the GIS domain.
      Age:18 years to 38 years as on 01/01/2016. The upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years in case of SC/ST candidates and by 2 years in respect of Ex-Serviceman.

      1. The selection process shall comprise of the following to be conducted by Recruitment Committee:

         1. Drawing

         2. Mensuration

         3. Application of Arc GIS and others GIS software in management & mapping of forests & natural resource.

5. Surveyor (GIS Analysist):

   Pay Band-2 Rs. 5200/- to Rs. 20200/- with grade Pay of Rs.2400/- P.M. plus other allowances as admissible under the Rules.

   1. No. of Posts: 25 nos.

   2. Eligibility Criteria:

      Minimum Education Qualification	-	Graduate in Science / Geography/ Remote Sensing/ Computer Science/ Geo informatics/ Geology/ Environmental Science
      Minimum Technical Qualification	-	Experience of 2+ years in performing GIS related works on server & Desktop
      Age:18 years to 38 years as on 01/01/2016. The upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years in case of SC/ST candidates and by 2 years in respect of Ex-Serviceman.

      1. The selection process shall comprise of the following to be conducted by Recruitment Committee:

         1. Drawing

         2. Mensuration

         3. Application of Arc GIS and others GIS software in management & mapping of forests & natural resource`

6. Carpenter:

   Pay Band-2 Rs. 5200/- to Rs. 20200/- with grade Pay of Rs.2100/- P.M. plus other allowances as admissible under the Rules.

   No. of Post: 1

7. Electric Mistry:

Pay Band-1 Rs. 4560/- to Rs. 15000/- with grade Pay of Rs. 1800/- P.M. plus other allowances as admissible under the Rules.

No. of post: 1

1. Eligibility Criteria for post both 6 & 7 above

   Minimum Education Qualification	-	HSLC or Equivalent Pass.
   Minimum Technical Qualification	-	Trade Certificate / Licence holder from recognized institution.
   18 years to 38 years as on 01/01/2016. The upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years in case of SC/ST candidates and by 2 years in respect of Ex-Serviceman

2. The selection process shall comprise the following for post 6 & 7 above:

   1. The candidate shall be required to appear in a skill demonstration test conducted by a competent authority in the presence of Recruitment Committee.

   2. Upto 20% weightage shall be given to the candidates who have worked as casual employees with Department @ 2% weightage for each completed year of service rendered.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE:

ONLINE: Preferably online applications are invited from Indian citizens by 31/01/2017 for these posts in Standard Form available only on our website www.assamforest.in.

OR

OFF-LINE: If an applicant wants to submit a physical application form it should be delivered only by post to the office of the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests and Head of Forest Force, Assam, Aranya Bhawan, Panjabari, Guwahati 781037 on or before 31/01/2017. On the envelope containing the physical application form, it should be mentioned Application for Post. The Department will not be responsible for any delay /loss in receipt of the applications sent by post.

Reservation in various services/posts as required under various laws will be made according to the rules of the service/post concerned.

APPLICATION FEES:

The application fee is Rs.250/ for General Candidates, Rs.150/- for SC/ST/OBC/MOBC candidates, and NIL for BPL (certificate holders only) candidates. The fee is to be paid only through internet banking in the Account of Assam State Biodiversity Board, Ganeshguri, Guwahati Branch, SBI S/B A/c No. 32007181470, with IFSC: SBIN0004134. Successful online payment reference number with date should be mentioned by the applicants in their respective forms, failing which the application would be rejected.

GENERAL INSTRUCTION:

1. Complete application along with self certified photocopies of all testimonials should be uploaded with online application forms along with two copies of passport size photographs. Similar, documents should also be enclosed with applications submitted off-line.

2. Person in employment should apply through proper channel.

3. Application received after the last date or incomplete applications will not be accepted.

4. Candidate will have to appear in the Written and Physical Fitness tests at

   their own cost, if and when called for. (Mere fulfillment of eligibility will not entitle a candidate to be called for Physical Fitness Test).

5. The candidates must bring with them the Call letter, printed reference

   number with date of online payment made, Original Certificate of the educational qualification at the time of Written Test/Computer Application Test/Physical Fitness Test as per the requirement of each post.

6. Weightage upto 10 % shall be given in the merit list to the National and

   State level sports persons appearing as candidates

7. For posts at Sl No. 1, 2, 4, 5,6 & 7 upto 20% weightage may be given to the candidates who have worked as casual/contractual employees with Forest Department @ 2% weightage for each completed year of service rendered.

8. The Forest Department reserves the right to increase or decrease the number of posts to be filled up, or cancel the recruitment process.

9. In case a candidate desires to apply for more than one post he needs to

   submit separate application forms and fee against each post.

10. The advertisement will not create any right in any individual applicant.
