WALK-IN INTERVIEW FOR SELECTION OF NINE (9) JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOWS ON 27 SEP 2017 AND 28 SEP 2017.

Laser Science & Technology Centre (LASTEC), a DRDO laboratory under Ministry of Defence, Govt. of India, has vision to be the Centre of excellence in the field of Laser and Optoelectronics and has a Mission to develop Laser and Optoelectronics Systems and Related Technologies for Directed Energy Applications, Carry Out Advance Research in the Fields of Lasers, Photonics and Optoelectronics.

1. Nine positions of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) are to be filled up at LASTEC. A Walk-in Interview will be held in this Centre on 27 and 28 Sep 2017 at 0930 hrs for selecting nine candidates for award of fellowship initially for a period of two years (extendable as per rules) to work in the area of Physics M.Sc/ Electronics B.Tech. Candidates will be admitted from 0930 to 1130 hrs only. No candidate will be allowed to appear in interview if he/she arrives beyond 1130 hrs.

2. Applicant should bring along on the date of interview a neatly type-written application giving name, date of birth, correspondence address, educational qualification, subject/discipline, percentage of marks, GATE /UGC/NET score etc. enclosing self-attested copies of all certificates/testimonials. A recent passport size photograph should be pasted on the right hand corner of first page of the application duly signed by the applicant.

General Condition:

(i)

Only those candidates who have completed the course and have been awarded degree/provisional certificate are elegible to appear.

(ii)

The upper age limit for all the above fellowships is maximum of 28 years on 30 September 2017. The age limit is relaxable by 5 year for SC/ST and by 3 years for OBC candidates.

(iii) JRFs are offered a monthly stipend of Rs. 25000/-for 1^st and 2^nd year and Rs. 28000/-for 3^rd year (if retained and upgraded as SRF). H.R.A. applicable as per rules will also be admissible.

(iv)

The tenure of the fellowship will be initially for a period of two years and based on performance, it may be terminated at the end of second year or extended for 3^rd and 4^th years if required.

(v)

The offer of fellowship will under no circumstances confer on the candidates any right for absorption in DRDO.

(vi)

The candidates may be allowed to register for Ph. D. with any University/Institution during the tenure of fellowship.

(vii) No fare/expenditure will be paid for attending the interview or for joining if selected.

(viii) Interested candidates may bring their application (giving complete bio-data) along with attested copies of proof of Date of Birth, Adhar card 10^th 12^th/Marksheet, Degree Certificates, Testimonials and Cast Certificates (if applicable) photo graphs.

(ix)

CANDIDATES MUST BRING THEIR ORIGINAL CERTIFICATES AT THE TIME OF INTERVIEW, IN THE ABSENCE OF WHICH THEY WILL NOT BE INTERVIEWED.

(x)

The number of vacancies may vary without prior intimation.

(xi)

Separate waiting list will be prepared subject-wise, based on the interviews to be held in September 2017, which will remain valid till 30 September 2018. Any vacancy arising during this period will be offered to the candidates in these waiting lists.
