NOTIFICATION

Applications are invited from eligible candidates, for filling up the following posts on Project Assistant and Research Fellow on contract basis for the Wellcome Trust/DBT India Alliance funded project entitled Investigating the role of nicotinic neuromodulation in levodopa-induced dyskinesias a multimodal study under Dr. Nivethida Thirugnanasambandam, CPH Intermediate Fellow, Dept. of Neurology & Principal investigator, NIMHANS. I. Name of the Post: Project Assistant

No. of posts: 01 (One)

Essential qualification: MBBS or Masters degree in life sciences/ neuroscience or related field

Desirable qualification: Clinical research experience,

Clinical experience in neurology

Maximum age limit: 30 years

Emoluments: Rs.25,000/- + 30% HRA per month

Duration of the post: 2 years (The initial appointment will be made for 6 months, which will be renewed yearly for up to 2 years subject to satisfactory performance of the candidate)

II. Name of Post: Research Fellow

No. of posts: 01 (One)

Essential qualification: MBBS or Masters degree in basic sciences / neuroscience/any technical field or Bachelors degree in engineering with programming experience. Candidates who are interested to register for PhD may apply.

Desirable qualification: JRF awardee (ICMR/CSIR/DBT/UGC);

Experience with biomedical/neural signal processing

Programming with MATLAB;

Prior research experience with a publication record in peer-reviewed journals.

Maximum age limit: 30 years

Emoluments: Rs.25,000/- + 30% HRA per month

Duration of the post: 2 years (the initial appointment will be for 6 months which will be extendable yearly for the duration of the project subject to satisfactory performance of the candidate). The candidate may have an opportunity to register for PhD if interested.
